The gentleman who came and did the work was great. He was on time and was very careful while doing all the cleaning. He cleaned everything up so there was not a spot of dirt when he left. He also gave me great information on some of the new products that are available now that are more efficient to operate and I think we just might upgrade very soon. And we WILL be using Nickos do the project.

They charge $89.00 to walk in the door. Then they charge $69.00/half hour and he was at my house for 45 minutes.
Doug was the service man. He was on time and called ahead. He was very nice and answered all my questions. He showed me how to use the control.

It went great. They were courteous, professional, friendly and efficient.

Horrible overall. I bought a gas log fireplace system from Nickos for an existing townhouse. Gas log system was selected in their store to be installed in existing wood burning fireplace in townhouse having natural gas utilities. Installation went fine. System works well. Purchase included cost of tapping into the gas line that provides natural gas to the house and running a new additional line across the back of the house to the fireplace. Installer drilled into the outside wall of the house above the compressor for the house air conditioning system. In so doing, punctured the Freon line for the house air conditioning system. Installer made no attempt to locate the gas line first from inside the house.
Nickos advised me that the line had been punctured and would be back in the springtime before air conditioning season to fix it. They never came. When I finally called them, I was advised to go ahead and get the repair done and they would reimburse me for the cost of repair and recharging the system with Freon. I had it done. Nickos would not honor the cost of repair. After six months of repeated attempts to get a response from Nickos, I quit trying.

The job went very well and I would hire them again for future work.

We had used Nickos for previous chimney sweep on old chimney and to remove an old fireplace insert. Their previous work was very good, so we trusted them for the wood stove. We purchased the new stove in September and were waiting for an old chimney to be demolished and a new roof to be installed before having the stove installed. Nickos did not pressure is to install it faster than we needed and held the stove in the warehouse for two months waiting on us.
They called the day before scheduled and arrived in the morning on-time. Two very professional installers spent all day installing the stove, stove-pipe, and accessories.
They did an excellent job and the fireplace looks great.

Everyone was professional and courteous from start--my initial phone call--to finish--the men who did the installation cleaned up carefully and took away all of their own trash. I love my new logs, and I couldn't be more pleased.

I had a severe problem with this company. When my air conditioning system stopped working, they said they would come back in the springtime to fix it, but they didn't. Then they said I should fix it and they would take care of the bill, so I did so and then they refused to pay them.
