The surgery and everything else was about $300. The price was reasonable. They're my vet. He is great with them. I keep going back because of how they interact with the animals. I foster animals. I have 2 of my own and I pretty much always have at least 1 foster in. I do a lot of vet trips because of the fosters. Every foster has to go to the vet and get checked over.

Dr. Helman has been seeing all of my pets for several years. He is a caring doctor and all my furry kids have always liked him a lot. The most recent service he provided was to euthanize our cat Jack who had been suffering for several months with an illness. We never came to a full conclusion regarding what the illness was because I simply could not afford to have really expensive tests done. Ben was really good about that choice and did the best he could for Jack within my limited budget. In the end Jack was suffering too much and we decided to say goodbye to our little buddy. Ben was sensitive and understanding about that choice. He made it as easy as it could be and I really appreciated everything he did. I would recommend Ben to anyone he is a good person as well as a good doctor.

Great experience everytime we go. . Easy to get an appointment. Our last appointment was for a vaccination. We saw a tech which saved us money. Since it was just for the shot I really appreciated that.

I have taken my blind poodle here a few times and he really likes it so when my big lab got sick I immediately called them. When we got there they treated him so nice. I was shocked at how calm my dog was being because my dog is usually trying to bite someone. They are so friendly there and understanding to everything. I have to say I think their prices are right on and the care is fantastic. The staff is very helpful and considerate. If you have any questions and call they answer them with no attitude like some places. I've already called a vet office with a question and got an attitude like I was bothering someone. You don't get that here. If you want a loving place to take your pet with reasonable prices then this is the place for you. I highly recommend them.

I have been known to overpay for vet service due to convenience. I heard nothing but positive things about Latrobe Animal Hospital so I decided to transfer my pet's records and try them out for his annual exam. SO GLAD I DID.
Firstly, they have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs (Cats, left. Dogs, right!). I got an earlier appointment on Saturday morning, and we walked in to an empty waiting room and within a minute of being there we were already being taken back to an exam room. The assistants are friendly and handled my pet (a 2 year-old Lab) well, asked many questions and provided treats. The main vet was prompt, efficient, complimentary and nice, making sure to ask many questions, thoroughly check my mutt over and made sure I didn't have any questions, and took time to answer those I did. Didn't feel rushed at all.
My dog got his necessary shorts, fecal testing, heart worm and flea/tick prevention prescription at a fraction of what I've paid elsewhere (a similar service last year with less medications cost me over $300!)
I couldn't ask for a more pleasurable vet experience. I will definitely bring him back there and I definitely recommend them in general.

They really love animals and they are really nice. The overall experience was excellent. I would use this provider again.
