+ -1 moreJim was recommended by our real estate agent. He returned my call promptly, came by the next day, and called back with an estimate. We scheduled the work, and he and his partner showed up on time. They covered everything and moved rugs and furniture. It was a very big and unpleasant job, and it took a lot longer than he thought it would. But each day, they cleaned everything up, and they came back when they said they would. They finished the job and did a great job cleaning up. The railings and doors look great. He did not charge us more than the estimate even though the job had taken longer. We were very impressed by his work and his work ethic.
Description of Work: They stripped multiple layers of paint from a banister railing and pocket doors. The house is over a hundred years old, so we don't know how long the paint had been there, but there were 5-7 layers in some places. We knew it would be a messy, tough and unpleasant job because we had done part of it ourselves. Some of the bottom layers were lead paint and really difficult to remove. The banister railing is quite intricately carved and curved and there are also four carved balls on top of the posts. In some places the railing is just a few inches from the wall, and there is little room to work.
