Two error codes came up on our Maytag Maxima Front Loader washer; it wouldn't finish the cycle; we called ABL and Don came to our home 8/6/18; he tested washer; he claimed washer was working "fine"; he charged us $69 for a service call. After he left error codes came up again; unit malfunctioned; then he returned on 12/3/18 he charged $100 deposit for parts; then $255.10 for an evaluation/diagnosis to replace a water inlet valve and a pressure switch. The same error codes came up again a couple of months Then it didn't work so he had to come back to replace them again. He stated parts are only warranted for 90 days. (TOTAL WAS $649.10 TOTAL) In May 2019, we are now out $649 AND HAD TO BUY A NEW WASHER FOR $650 FOR THE SAME PRICE FOR A WORTHLESS REPAIR. My husband feels the parts did not rectify the malfunction. He hesitantly gave only a $69 refund for the 1st repair visit, after demanding it from him. Parts were warranted for only 90 days so we are out of luck. DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR COMPANY. WE GOT RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!

They sent a guy out. He looked at the washer for about 5 minutes. He took off the panels and he turned it on. He watched the tumbler spin around for 10 minutes then he said, "it's a very complicated job. A log of work. You're better off buying a new washer." He charged 70 bucks. The whole thing was a joke. It was clear when he got here, he really didn't want to do anything. He really wasn't interested. He wanted to leave and go wherever it was he was going. It was a fiasco. I was amazed when he asked me for money. I would only use them again if the toilet bowl is stuck.

Called on 7/2 to request repair. Repair scheduled for 7/5 between 8 and noon.  No one called to give us exact time so we called and were told tech called off so we rescheduled for 7/8. Tech called on 7/8 and asked for model # of dryer and said he would need to get the part and schedule a repair time later that week.  Called the office and asked why we still had no dryer when this was all handled last week and the office said they won't pre-order a part so we'd need to wait for tech to get it and fit us in his schedule.  It shouldn't take more than a week to get a dryer part replaced.  Very disappointed with the way this was handled. The tech did a good job fixing it but communication is very poor between customer, office and tech.

Updated: did not like technician but office staff were good in coming up with resolution.

I would not use this company again. They came out first in October and I spent $300 on a timer that supposedly needed fixed because it wasn't turning off. It was a huge fire risk and I just wanted it fixed. It didnt end up working and the guy said it was a defective manufacturer part. He came out again today and said the heater was now broken and needed to be replaced too. Really? The previous 2 times he was here he didn't see that. So even though I was told there wouldn't be any additional charges I now had to pay $90 for a heater. I should have just bought a new dryer. I sure hope it works. Also, he was not the least bit friendly or professional.

Mechanic came and give me estimate about $285.  when i asked how much is labor and part. He said they just have flat rate labot depending on work. It onlu took him 30 minutes to fix. He charged me $285. Specially when they see a lady, they all try to rip off.

My washer has been leaving my clothes soaking wet after the spin cycle is finished. I contacted ABL and they sent out someone. When I heard a knock on the door I answered it, and the repairman (he said his name was Larry) was talking on his cell phone. I held the door open thinking he'd hang up and come in, but he just stood in the entrance and kept on talking for a couple of minutes while I stood there holding the door open. (Tip: finish your call before you knock on the client's door!).

I showed Larry the washer and he put it on spin cycle while putting his pen in the lid lock so he could watch it spin. It spun very fast, He put his hand on top of the agitator while the drum was spinning and 5 seconds later he said, "You see that, that's not supposed to happen." I had no idea what he was talking about, but I know the agitator does not spin during the spin cycle!

Larry told me that the transmission needed to be replaced and parts and labor would cost $395.00 plus tax. So he had not inspected the washer apart from watching the drum spin. He had an "I don't give a rat" attitude and I felt like something was fishy. I told him "Well that's not going to happen" and I wrote him a check for the estimate and sent him on his way.

I had another service come out later that day and they told me there was probably nothing wrong with the washer. The old, sagging wooden platform the washer was on needed to be removed so the washer could be firmly planted on the ground. This tells me that Larry was either incompetent or a hustler or both.

This is the first and last time I'll use ABL. I am going to create an evaluation for the other repair service as soon as I am finished with this one.

The service man arrived on time, checked out the problem, told us how to fix it because the refrigerator first needed to be defrosted, chargd us a very fair amount, and then left telling us to call him if we still had a problem.

The work was completed and the dryer operating when the technician left my house. However, the technician was rude and left the work area a mess when complete. I would be hard pressed to use ABL again based on the technicians professionalism.

They came when they stated and were very polite and courteous. The technician came and did a very thorough investigation, answered all my questions, and was very patient. We estimated how much to fix one ignitor in the future as it is starting to go but will still work. He also gave us a work around for our problem. If our ignitor goes out in the next 90 days they will apply our service charge to the cost of the repairs.
