George came to give us an estimate which was clearly written, and included a good price compared to other contractors we met with who either charged more for similar work or offered less of a service (for example, not including trash removal). The estimate included budgeted allocations for the cost of the faucets, med cab, vanity, tub, toilet & tile. Plus, George provided me with a list of references (other contractors couldn't), guaranteed that the work would be done in 5 days, and was able to schedule the project in August, which was good timing for us. Leading up to the project we had some difficulty estimating how much tile we would need, and what fixtures to get to fit into our small bathroom space (5' x 7'), and a toilet that would work with a 10" rough-in and pushed up against our heater. George and the office manager Lorraine were both friendly, but didn't give us as much guidance with our questions as we would have liked. Also, the $3/sq. ft tile amount was a bit low and I heard that they have now raised that allocation. Once the project started we were very pleased. The plumber did a quick and clean job and even fixed a broken sewer pipe (for $400) that just happened to break the weekend before he came to work on the bathroom project. The two guys who were in the house for five days were Tim- the tile guy and co-owner, and Jody- another worker. Tim and Jody cut the tile outside so that the house wouldn't get dusty, cleaned up their work area every day, treated us, our neighbors, and our pets (3 cats, 2 dogs) well, and worked efficiently with minimal disruption in the house. They installed everything with no glitches, painted cleanly, and tiled the floor and walls beautifully. There were no surprise costs, and the job took 5 days, plus a few extra hours when they had to come back to install the last few bullnose tiles, because we ran a little short on those. They called ahead each day to let us know when they would be arriving and gave good estimates about when they would be finishing their work each day. I would highly recommend Bathrooms Galore to anyone looking into a bathroom renovation!
