MATTRESS FACTORY

I went to go look for a king size mattress with my husband and son. We walked into the store (in which we were the only customers) and the salesman, Jon, was sitting at his desk. After we made eye contact with him several times while walking around, he fainlly approached us and asked what we were looking for. We informed him we were looking for a king-size mattress. He responded that the store carries mattresses ranging from $400 to $7000 and wanted to know where in the range we wanted to stay. We stated we didn't think it was necessary for us to buy a $7000 mattress and he asked if a $1200 mattress would be acceptable. This was really an unfair question because the man had not yet told us what the difference is between a $400 mattress and a $7000 mattress so we had no way of knowing how much we wanted to spend before knowing what quality mattress our money could buy. We responded "sure, let's see the $1200 mattress". He showed us two options and then went back to his desk. We thought he was checking inventory when in fact, he continued to sit there and drink his coffee. After a few minutes we asked if he was going to continue to help us and he responded "I'm really not sure where you're going with the mattress". We thought "where we were going? He showed us two options and expected us to make a decision?". Clearly, my husband and I are not mattress experts which is what we thought the salesmen were for. My husband asked why he was being rude and he asked if we saw the door because we should walk out the door. He then cursed at my husband (while our 5 year old son was with us)!! Unbelievable! We called the store owner Andre and he basically backed his employee and did not feel we were treated poorly. We were stunned at the lack of professionalism and customer service at his store. We will never return nor recommend anyone going to this store.
