He never came back . We have been without an oven for a few months. Need less to say we wont be using him again.
I have a home warranty and they gave me the contact information for this place.
I called on May 12th and told them the problem and that I did not need them to come out right away since the oven hadn't worked since I bought the house in February of 2013. I was taking off on the 15th, so the appointment was set up for between 11:00 and 1:00. So, I decided to run some errands pretty early that I can only take care of during normal work hours. I was on my way home around 9:30 when the technician called and said he could be at my house within 45 minutes. The technician arrived before 10:15. I was very happy for the early arrival.
He got right to work and fixed my oven and told me the problem. Since the problem was mice eating through wires (and other things), my warranty wouldn't cover a replacement stove and that if it stops working again, it would need a part that costs more than the stove is worth.
Hopefully, the mice have thought better of coming into a house with 3 cats.
I would absolutely recommend Martone Appliance to everyone.
I do not know what an excellent price would be for this repair , but he was in the ballpark of the other estimates I had received.
Afterwards, compared the price of the parts and considered the amount of time he spent, and I realized that I am paying for his knowledge and expertise and I suppose that's fair.
16 year old clothes washer was not working. Scheduled appointment with Sear's and they did not show up for the appointment. Stayed home from work, called to ask where they were, and got some lame excuse about computer network being down. Called Martone and Repairman called back shortly after calling the office. He diagnosed problem over the phone. He explained that necessary replacement part was expensive, but recommended spending the money because of quality of the machine. Came out that day and installed new part. Washing machine was fixed the same day.
As unhappy as I was with Sear's, I was more pleased with Martone's.
