From the moment I entered the office, the super-friendly staff took me in hand with a cheerful greeting, quick processing of paperwork, and sympathy for any discomfort I was experiencing that brought me into the office that day. Even the always-dreaded weigh-in was made palatable. The assistant voluntarily noted that of course, a few pounds would be deducted for all the clothes I was wearing. Such a small thing, but it set the tone for an empathetic visit with the doctor.
Dr Toussaint was pleasant, clearly knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. He took his time, asked a lot of pertinent questions and maintained a bedside manner that was specific to me and empathetic. His explanation of a suggested course of testing/diagnosis was clear. I specifically noted that he interacted with me like the intelligent person I am. This has definitely not been the case with some of the condescending medical professionals I have met in my lifetime. I appreciated that.
On to testing scheduling, which was taken care of efficiently by the scheduling manager.
My time in the office was 35 minutes total, 20 minutes of which were spent with the doctor with only 5 minutes spent in the waiting room.
