Don't use them. They did damage and the owner was very rude. Told me my house was built like crap.
We had carpet installed by Bucks County Carpet and the installation has not gone well. We removed almost all of the furniture before they arrived except a couple of pieces which are not heavy such as a love seat and one chair. We were told we could remove the furniture or they would do it. This turned out to not be a problem. The two installers arrived at 11:30 a.m. to install my family room which is approximately 17' x 22'. They did not finish until almost 11:30 p.m.! The one installer kept going outside to talk on the phone and smoke cigarettes while leaving the garage door open on a cold winter day and night. This went on for almost 12 hours.
The carpet was installed terribly and they marked up my wall and took a chunk out of the wood baseboard. The installation shows seams in many spots and the seams are helter skelter. Most of the seams that show are not from wall to wall which indicates they were cutting the carpet incorrectly. They are a patchwork and the stairs to the basement showed where they stapled the carpet to the floor. We could see the staples in carpet on the stairs. They did not put a transitional metal or wood piece where carpet meets the tile in an adjacent room. They also left a spilled drink and debris on the basement floor and debris on the family room. We ended up vacuuming most of the mess as we just wanted them out of the house.
We were told by the saleslady that Bucks County Carpet would charge 50% of the costs on our credit card the day we placed the order and 50% the day of installation. They actually charged the full amount the day the order was placed, but we did not know since we gave them our credit card number over the phone.
We complained and the owner came out to the house and said he would fix things. They removed the carpet from the stairs and told me they would order more carpet as there was not enough to redo the stairs that day. He did remove the scratch on the wall and fixed the baseboard and installed a transitional piece where the family room meets the other room. Three weeks later an installer returned to redo the basement stairs, third attempt, and finally got it right. However, the seams still show in the carpet in the family room and there are noticeable patches in the seams where the carpet is fragmenting.
