Josh came out to to give me an estimate for some outdoor electrical work today and was prompt and professional. He listened to what I was looking for and gave me ideas to enhance the plan. While here he helped me with a broken lamp and even came back after he left when I realized had a problem with a circuit breaker that tripped and I could not get the appliances back on. All at no cost and before we discussed estimates for the main work. It is rare to see this type of service and I greatly appreciate his help. Thanks Josh!

Went great. Called me back same day. Scheduled visit to give estimate for 2 days later. Did the job the very next morning. He discovered that old sub panel was wired improperly for new tub. Solved that issue and did some additional rewiring to reach new control panel, Nice guy.

Josh performed electrical work outside and inside. He re-wired a number of outlets and my fuse box. He also assembled a new outside lamp post. Josh was as professional and meticulous as they come. I am a divorced, single woman who was looking for a reliable electrician who would not over charge me or commit to doing work then never showing; something I've experienced many times. Josh returned my call immediately and fit me into his schedule within 24 hours. He also gave me options of how to reduce my costs. He is definitely a trustworthy person and does exceptional work at a very fair price. You cannot go wrong with him.

I had quoted several technicians and the reason I chose Josh is that he is professional. When he came to my house to give me a quote, before entering my house, he put on the shoe covers avoiding bringing dirt into my house. He was the only technician did that. On top of that, Josh is down to earth during the conversation and the final quote he gave is reasonable. So I could not find a reason that I should not choose him for the job. When Josh was in my house for the job with his assistant, they tried to keep everything clean. While cutting the drywall, they were either using a shop vac or place a paper towel on the floor to catch all the dust. The job was nicely done and fast. Actually, Josh came twice for the install because after the first install, the cable wasn't working, but that was not his fault. After all, if I need something done in the future, Josh is my go to guys for sure.

We called Josh after an electrician from another company (Boulden Brothers) could not identify and solve the problem. Josh arrived on time and waited for me to come home from work. I found him very systematic and logical in his problem solving skills. He rapidly identified where the problem might be, corrected the issue and installed new fan. He is very professional in his attitude towards his work and customer interaction. Exceptional!

Located the problem quickly and fixed. Showed us where the second GFI switch was in the kitchen (hidden) and explained how the switches were wired (two sets of lines separate from each other) explaining why only some of them went out while others worked. Very professional, on-time, wore booties and cleaned up any mess. Answered phone when I called (did not go to message machine). Came out the same day.

We had used Josh before this project. He installed a whole house fan and bathroom outlet. Which works great! The new box was a upgrade from old one. He was on time and did wonderful work. Josh is very courteous and professional.  He responds quickly and we're always happy with his work.  He works diligently and does the job right.  Our Christmas lights look wonderful every year (we've used Josh's service for 3 years in a row).  He recently took them all down and he stores them too, what a nice perk!  When something wasn't working correctly, Josh came and solved the problem quickly.

They came promptly, worked quickly and were very pleasant.  Instructions were provided so I would know if the whole house surge protector had "blown."  Very nice men.

I was extremely pleased with the work that Josh did. He was one of the few electricians to return my calls and he showed up on time for the estimate and all the work. I really liked that he took the time to map out a plan for me when all I had was a basic idea. He also quoted some potential future work for us just because we wanted a sense of cost. When it came time to install he showed up and did all the rough electrical and then came back again a few weeks later after I had the walls up. I really appreciated his willingness to split the job. I felt the price was very fair (obviously everyone wants that lower!) for the work involved and he didn't quibble over minor changes during the install. He tested everything after the job and made sure it was perfect before he left.
All in all it was a great job and I will definitely use him in the future for my electrical needs.

It was a pleasure to work with Josh. All his communication from my initial call, appointment and estimate to project completion were done promptly and professionally. Price for work was fair and resonable. He was conscientious of his work area and cleaning up after the project was complete. I would recommend him 100%.

I'm really happy with this company. Josh was very easy to schedule with. After I gave Josh a call about my projects, he came over within a couple of days to look at the scope of work, and gave a very detailed quote via email a few days later. He gave me several options for when he could come over to do the work. He arrived a little early, wore shoe covers, and handled my lampshade with latex gloves on. He and his assistant were professional and kept things clean. My project was done about a week after I made the first call. He also bought a special drill bit for my project that saved me hundreds of dollars and lots of trouble dealing with drywall repair. One of the components of my new light fixture was defective and he was able to find a matching piece in his own supplies. Just really thoughtful and willing to go the extra mile.

Josh and Todd were awesome. They were very professional, punctual. worked around my work schedule. I was having other work done on windows in the house from a company that I did not get from Angie's list but had worked with them in the past. The contrast between the workers from that company and Josh and Todd from Home and Garden Electric, was unbelievable. I have not had the best of luck in the past with finding the right contractor for the job but Josh has given me new hope and faith in the system and I would recommend  his company to everyone. The price, the quality of the work, the professionalism, all A+.

Hired Home and Garden Electric to install a generator hookup from the garage to the electric panel. The hookup required the installation of an inlet box, interlock kit, watt meter, 50 amp breaker, several double breakers and over 100' of 50 amp cable through a finished basement. Josh and his helper Todd arrived promptly at 8:30 am and went right to work. Within 3 hours Josh and Todd had everything installed and we were outside testing the generator and hookup. Electricity was off for a max of 15 minutes throughout the installation. I think Josh and Todd did an excellent job and I am very happy with the install. I would definitely hire Home and Garden Electric again for any future electrical jobs I may have.

This was the third time that Josh Burridge, the owner, had done work for me.  He has always been very professional, neat and effective.  He wires everything very neatly and gathers and removes all of the waste that he creates.  I can recommend him strongly.
