Came home to find a small backup of sewage from my septic tank into the basement (luckily unfinished.) The water had receded back into the drain - so called and left a message that while not an emergency that night, needed some help quickly. Anthony called the next morning to send Tyler and Paul out that day (a Friday).
They thought it could be something caught in the baffle between the drain and the tank and they would snake the drain. However, they went out to check the tank and it was full. My tank alarm in the basement had been turned to silent (probably by a contractor during a recent renovation) and so I had no warning. I needed to get the tanked pumped out before they could check to see if the reason was the pump failing. Luckily, I was able to get the tank pumped that afternoon and they returned first thing Monday morning.
They inspected and checked the amperage on the pump and found it was fine, but whenever it was installed (long before I bought the house 8 years ago) there had been some duct tape used with the pump and the float / sensors. The duct tape had deteriorated and tangled the float / sensors and the pump stopped. They cleared the mess and re-installed with wire ties.
Invoice reads:
- Snake out floor drains
- Unclogged sewage pump base
- Reset and secure pump float switches
They could have told me the pump had failed and I required a new one (how would I have known?) so I appreciate that they only did what was necessary.
problem and left. In June of 2011 we had our bathroom redone. This
involved fixing the floor under the toilet, so the toilet had to be
removed, replaced and sealed. Anthony sent his workers; he kept touch
with us and the work was preformed to our satisfaction. I never have
asked him to do something that he has not accomplished with alacrity and
expertise. He is the best. The $800 is the amount I have spent in two
years having Anthony repair or replace plumbing. Each time I have a
problem, large or small, Anthony arrives, or his workers do; the work
gets done and they leave with no mess or fuss
