Chuck went WAY above and beyond by testing for CO2, as our gas fireplace was emitting a lot of soot. He implored us to get CO2 alarms.I immediately texted my husband "not to come home WITHOUT THEM!" He didn't and we thank Chuck and RSC from the bottom of our hearts! We ABSOLUTELY intend to have them back soon for more work. We are very pleased with EVERY aspect of this service call, and will recommend them anytime we have the opportunity!

Everything was great. Steve was informative, not pushy, and very straight-forward when it came to visiting the location for estimate and discussing what needed to occur and it seemed he was very 'no BS".
When the day came to replace the A/C, two of his techs showed up at a reasonable time as to when Steve said they would show up. They were polite and responsive when I asked for updates. They even assisted me with automobile repairs I was in the middle of completing when they were reclaiming the coolant.
After they were done everything was cleaned up adequately, locked the basement door, and gave me a run-down of what all they did. It was at this time that I found out that they had done a furnace tune-up and cleaning as it wouldn't have made it too much longer in it's current state. This may be standard for them but I wasn't aware they planned to do anything beyond inspect the furnace so this was an excellent 'above-and-beyond' service they provided.
Later that day Steve called me to follow up with the experience, unfortunately I was driving at the time and could not speak to him.
TL:DR: RSC is a great company with professionals on staff and very customer oriented.

The company arrived on time (a little early and even called to see if that would be OK). Then the technician listen to the description of the problem, went to look and showed me pictures of what was found using his iPad- an animal had chewed through the wires. He replaced the wires and our system was back to normal.  Very professional & helpful.  We will use this company again.

Last service call  -- could not get the air conditioning running the morning of  the last brief hot spell.  Chuck came out promptly before 1 PM and discovered that my father had turned off the system's breaker switch sometime last year when the summer ended. Got the system working again and did a quick check to be sure everything was OK and would continue to run safely until a complete maintenance check could be run.
Great company. I probably could find cheaper (but that's not to say that their rates aren't reasonable - they are) but I trust them and have complete confidence in them. They do a fantastic job and I don't have any plans to change.

I awoke to no heat on a January Saturday morning. I called another plumbing/ heating company for a no heat emergency call as I did not realize RSC provided 24 hour emergency service (which I found out they do). The service call by this company determined after a series of scary furnace backfirings that the burner in the 20+ year old furnace had rusted through. As such, at this point I had no heat. The other company called did provide an immediate quote for a replacement furnace/ac system, with the ability to install it by the end of the week. This company made the recommendation for a larger heating system, but this would have required cutting into the ceiling of our finished basement for the vent/air pipes. Although not the end of the world, it certainly wasn’t preferable as the basement has been recently redone and we will be selling our house shortly.As I have used RSC for my heating/AC service for the last three years, I emailed RSC on Sunday with my current situation, requesting their advice and cost for the replacement. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from RSC to discuss the situation even with the offer to come out on a Sunday, but since there was no real emergency based upon reasonable temperatures, I scheduled RSC to come Monday.Steve Beeler, president, came out at the arranged time and evaluated my situation and immediately provided a recommendation for my current situation. He evaluated my existing home to size the heating/cooling system and made a recommendation upon such. I was able to the use the existing furnace vent/air pipes. At the time he went over what the replacement would entail, including recommendations on how they would modify the return duct work to increase efficiency, how the existing refrigerant line would be purged, etc. Everything was put in a written proposal of exactly what they proposed to do, from furnace/ac model, thermostat, ductwork, etc. I authorized the complete furnace/AC system replacement and that same day equipment was ordered, financing secured through RSC as a Carrier dealer. The next day the installation was started. I receive a phone call in the morning indicating they were delayed by about 20 minutes loading equipment, but offered if that was an issue they would send one tech out to begin removal of the system. It was not an issue, but the communication was appreciated. The techs put down protective plastic on the carpets (including the basement and stairs) and taped protect drop clothes on the hardwood floor prior to start, and utilized protective shoe covers the whole time. They were respectful to us and our home – polite, professional, neat, and informative.The replacement of the furnace and complete ac system took a day and a half. However, heat was restored the first day, with the second day devoted to the AC. During the entire time, the techs doing the job communicated with my wife and myself regarding status, what the next steps were, etc. The biggest item that they communicated was that there would be smoke with the oils burning off on the new furnace (I did receive the panic call from the wife). Even small details were discussed such as if I wanted to keep the thermostat, the air cleaner, etc. When the job was finished, everything was cleaned up and vacuumed. The tech went over the installation and the controls of the system. I received a follow-up call that afternoon from Steve Beeler making sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. The installation was professional, and all work completed as discussed. This was the largest job that RSC has done for me. However, I have used them for the last three years for routine maintenance, and an AC evaporator coil replacement - and have always received that same professionalism from both the company and the individual service tech - This has resulted in a company that has earned my trust.

We had them long before I ever joined Angie's List. They are very good. I pay in the spring for the two services that they do in spring and fall. They are the best service. They have a key to my house. They call and let me know when they are coming and I do not have to be here, they come in, they do the job, they always wear booties and stuff so that they do not mess up the floors or anything. Everything is always cleaned up; I do not ever have to do anything. They are very neat and very tidy. When they say they are coming, that is when they come. I have a lot of trust with them. I have been using them for the last seven years. They are very professional.

Steve (owner) was prompt and courteous. He did a thorough inspection of the home and current system to determine what the needs were to adequately heat and cool the house. Went over multiple options with me and benefit analysis of each choice. Also, did a cost/benefit analysis to show estimated energy and cost savings from upgrading.
After choosing the system (RSC is an authorized Carrier dealer) we scheduled installation. Went with a very high efficiency unit on Steve's recommendation. While the cost was a little higher than we were intially planning on, Steve was correct in the cost savings we would experience by reducing our electric bill. (Our kWh's have been reduced an average of 35% per month since replacing our old unit with the new high-efficiency unit, saving about $50 per month.)
The technicians that did the installation were prompt, friendly, and hard working. They kept my house very clean during the removal and installation process.
After the installation was completed (2 day process) Steve returned that evening and went over how to get the most out of our new system and how to enjoy the benefits in comfort the new system was able to deliver by using the high-tech thermostat that accompanied the unit.
Overall my family is very pleased with the service and also with the new heat pump. The product is as advertised by Steve. I would recommend RSC to any one looking for a top quality product from Carrier and a highly professional installation.

We had received an estimate from this company in Dec of 2011 and finally decided on March 16, 2012 to have the work done. We called Steve, the owner and was told they would still honor the price, unlike other companies we had received estimates from who would only honor the price for 30 days. We were told sign the estimate, fax it back to the company and the unit would be installed on March 23.
The companys crew showed up at 8:30 am and was finished by 4:30. No complications, no changing the price, and the job was done right the first time.
