"I just wanted you all to know. There are a lot of missing information in this review that you do not know. We do not have any games loaded on our demo PC's. We do on the other hand, have a game demo that is non playable that is loaded every day for customers to watch on the monitor. The employee must manually load the demo. Playing video games is obviously not permitted. The customer brought the system in because it was infected with virus's. We always have a waiting list depending on the work load before we can start work on any PC. We always tell the customer it will take at least 2-3 days until work can be started because of the constant work load. If we can get to it faster, we will. We also have priority service that would get the system on the bench immediately for emergencies. Customer did not want priority service. The system was on the bench doing scans the 2nd day as noted by customer. The customer called and was already complaining about the time it was taking, not understanding that scans take a LONG time and we also use several different programs and do multiple scans. Customer could not understand why we would not use his Norton Anti-Virus to scan for the virus's and questioned the tech about how he was doing his job. Obviously, his Norton Anti-Virus program will not work since it did not catch the virus's in the first place. If you have ever scanned for a virus, you know it does not take minutes but it takes hours and some cases over night depending on the amount of files and how slow the PC is. We also do not clean and scan just once, we will do it several times with several different programs to ensure the virus has been removed. All of this takes a lot of time. In most cases, we will remove the hard drive from the system and use our own system to remove the virus's. The senior tech tried to explain all of this but the customer would not stand for it. We document all work. We do not print out a list of infected files because some of the scan's may not be done in windows and they are already noted in our work order. When someone brings in a computer because it is infected with virus's, then most likely they already know they have a virus and it is no surprise so a print out showing that they have virus's really doesn't do anyone any good. We do not charge for all those hours of scans either. Customer came in the next morning and wanted us to stop all work on his system and checked it out. So this customer then decided to e-mail me, not to my company e-mail but to my Linkdin e-mail that I NEVER use or check. I'm sorry the customer is not happy that we could not not finish his computer sooner then he wanted but we are not going to release a system if we are not 100% confident it is properly finished. I'm very sorry, but that is just not the way we do business."
