A well known local company that sells and installs all types of windows and doors. They did the job in one hour. They did a good job. Their responsiveness was not too good. They took some time to come in. They were punctual. They were here 15 minutes before they were scheduled.

They replaced 7 windows with what was advertised as their best window of three categories with lifetime warranty. They have been out 3 times to correct instalation errors. We have water damage to 1st floor ceiling due to caulking failure. We have now had failures of the double pane seals in all 7 windows.The company replaced 4 windows although I had to install them myself. After that I was told that Lancaster Building Supply no longer dealt with the manufacturer. At that point I was given a letter with contact info and told I was on my own. When I questioned the value of the advertised lifetime warranty I was treated quite rudely and told they no longer had any responsibility

I am very disappointed to see this negative review, and though though the windows were installed in 2006 (prior to my ownership). I am saddened to see or hear of any bad experiences with this business. As the founder and still President of LANCASTER DOOR SERVICE this is not the way we conduct business. Having started this business in 1996 we feel it will give all members a fair assessment of our dedicated business practices."
