I found the business on Angie's List and had high hopes, my first call to get an estimate was returned promptly. The owner was on vacation, I was told, and he would call when he returned. I didn't receive a call back within a reasonable amount of time after that, but eventually I was able to reach him myself. Eventually.... I did get an estimate, Mr. Harper had a quiet demeanor and was professional. After discussing it with my husband, we accepted the estimate (lower than others) and I left a message that we wanted the work done. Eventually .... I reached him and set a a date. Unfortunately, I expected a little more care to be taken with the tree trimming. Young adults (possibly teenage boys) were assisting Mr. Harper and they did not always know what they were doing. At one point trimmed branches were left to fall on my window screens and I was afraid they would get torn. Several of my plants were damaged as a result of tree branches falling on them (or being stepped on). Clean-up was not as good as I had hoped. Some trees were not adequately trimmed, so I asked them to be checked again. Mr. Harper did go back to them, but still, it was not done they way I thought they should have been done. I have had trees trimmed by other people in the past, so I did expect better. I didn't complain about anything else, because I was too stressed out about it all and just wanted it to be over. My husband ended up doing more trimming the weekend after.
Perhaps they are better for doing cleanup work after a storm, i.e. for fallen trees, but I don't know.

Mr. Harper responded very quickly to my initial call, came out and gave an estimate, and returned with his crew a couple of weeks later to do the work, as promised. They did a great job, very professional, with thorough clean-up afterwards. Final bill was even a little less than the estimate. I would absolutely hire them again.

They did a good job. I would rate them high in everything. They were very nice, affordable, and did a good job.

He is an exceptional person. He does great work, he has fair prices, and he is prompt. He is AAA in my book. He responded to me within a week and he brought a helper so they were here for about three hours.

HAD FOUR 20 FOOT WHITE PINE TREES THAT DIED AND THIS COMPANY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB CUTTING THEM DOWN AND DISPOSING OF THEM. THE AREA AROUND THE TREES WAS CLEANED VERY WELL AND THE STUMPS WERE CUT AT THE GROUND AS REQUESTED. VERY NICE WORK AND THE TWO YOUNG MEN WERE VERY PROFICIENT.

The company arrived on time...professional. The quote was fair and when I asked them to do more than what was in the quote...no questions they kept cleaning. No damage was done to my plants under the trees that came down. It was a very well done job. When I called Mr. Harper he returned the call in a timely manner. He emailed me the quote...when I agreed it took him longer to get back to me. He did...and he came to do the proposal in a very quick time (couple of days). I would highly recommend them.

Harper Tree Service is a very reasonable in price but what really impress me was that Mr. Harper was on vacation and I was able to get schedule and have the work done the next day with a very professional and competent staff.

Work began quickly after just a verbal estimate but final bill was consistent with what had been agreed upon. Work was done by a young but seemingly competent crew with Mr. Harper checking in periodically. Did a great job of clearing out entire set of smaller trees, but left a couple of limbs hanging on the bigger trees that were damaging by larger ones falling from above. Clean up was thorough. Overall, very happy with their work and their price.

We hired Harpers to trim a large tree in the front of our house, and I told them I did not want the tree cut too much (as some other companies do). The owner (Mr. Harper) was very polite, and took my concerns into consideration. His crew showed up promptly and on time. There were five men with him, and they quickly and efficiently completed the job within a half an hour. All the workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to hire them back for more tree work.

Service was performed promptly. Tree was removed along with piles of brush in yard which had accumulated from winter storms etc. Brush was not totally removed. Tree was removed as promised.

Harper Tree Service did an excellent job. They were quick to respond, coming the next day after being called. Mr. Harper and his crew were steady workers, quickly and expertly dropping the trees in a very tight situation which allowed no room for mistakes. They kept at their work. Even when Mr. Harper left the job site to dump the truck full of chippings, his crew continued working steadily. They completely cleaned up the yard after they were finished, leaving nothing for the owner to do except saw up the firewood left behind.
