initially went well. gave deposit, I was warned I may need new fascia board that would be extra, but it would be painted and installed and billed afterwards. They came with appropriate warning and installed gutters, including new fascia board. I paid the remaining amount and then they billed me extra for the new fascia board. But then I got up and looked at their work. Problems: 1) downspouts not straight, leaning to one direction or other in two areas, quite obviously which was very surprising to see....even my children wondered why the downspouts were crooked; 2) fascia board was only painted on front, not back nor on ends(which can be seen), which will lead to early rotting; 3) they used screws too long to mount gutters that went all the way through the wood and look like little spears, and on my lower porch, can be seen from inside and will cut hands when one cleans the wood, which regularly needs to be done. Complained about this and though they came back to fixe the downspouts, I sent them away becasue I want all of these things fixed, including proper painting of the fascia board and repair of the now ratty looking screws poking through on my porch. I sent a letter outlining all this to the company on June 22 and refusing to pay remaining $ 380 outstanding(of an over $3,000 total bill) until these problems fixed. They have not responded. Thus my membership in angieslist.
