These comments pertain to restoring the antique wooden trunk but my satisfaction with the work on the other pieces is equally high. The wood panels were cleaned without removing the age-old patina, and lightly stained and oiled to bring the wood panels back to life. The metal strapping/edgings were cleaned and carefully painted a satin black which was thought similar to the original finish on the edge pieces. Replacing the leather handles took a very delicate hand because removing the handle brackets anchoring the leather handles required removing short, angled nails without splintering the wood, and then reattaching the handle brackets fitted with new leather. The newly installed leather trunk handles are elegant and just the accent this antique trunk needed. Without the vision and expertise of Furniture Medic staff, I probably would not have replaced the handles thinking damage to the piece would be too noticeable. Thank you staff for encouraging me to do the handles and then doing such a fine job!

They did a beautiful job. They were really good. I know there is also a Furniture Medic in Elizabethtown, and my daughter had occasionally used them, and they are just as good. They are very reasonable. They are excellent. I would highly recommend them. When they do something, they tell you exactly what they are doing, and they respond to you; they tell you the time period it will take and what they need to do. They explain everything ahead of time. There is no misunderstanding about what they are going to do. They come in person; they pick up and deliver for you. They make it look like nothing happened with the furniture. It looks like brand new. They also know how to repair it with the style that it is, and they will not do something unless they can actually do it for you. I would definitely use them in the future.
