They were great!  Very professional and informative!  I learned a lot from talking with them and felt great after having my home tested to make sure everything is ok in the house.

I was able to get an estimate scheduled just a few days out and the estimator arrived on time. Very knowledgeable and helpful. As for the actual work, the manager and his team were very professional and explained exactly what they would do. The work was completed on time and everything was cleaned up very well. The only issue was that our basement window was left open, i presume because they had used it for exhaust, but not a big deal.

This was for the house we moved into then. We have not had any problems. It has been good. We are probably not going to use them again because of lack of communication and interpretation of the results we were hoping to get.
Response from EHC Associates, Inc

"Dear Ms.[member name removed], we appreciate your feedback; however, it is important for you and other members to understand that you were charged for a standard turn around time for your air sampling project (this is 5 business days). You called us on the 9/2/14, we collected samples 9/3/14 and you had results 9/9/14 (1 full business day earlier than due). We provided you with laboratory results and a letter fully explaining these results. Below is a transcript of the letter you received along with the lab results: Dear Mr. [member name removed]: Please find the attached laboratory analysis report for your review. Four spore trap air samples were collected from the following locations: Sample 01 – Basement Office; Sample 02 – Basement – Main Area; Sample 03 - 1st Floor – Kitchen Area; Sample 04 – Outside. Currently there are no established “safe” levels in regard to indoor mold spore levels. However, the general consensus among experts in the industry is that interior spore levels should be generally equal to or less than the levels found outdoors. As indicated on the enclosed report, at the time of sampling, elevated levels of Aspergillus/Penicillium and slightly elevated levels of Pythomyces sp., Epicoccum Sp., and Curvularia Sp. exist in the basement (indoor compared to outdoor sample). The consistent presence of certain fungi, such as (but not limited to) Stachybotrys chartarum, Aspergillus versicolor, or various Penicillium species, over and beyond background concentrations may indicate the occurrence of a moisture problem and a potential atypical exposure. Generally, indoor mold types should be similar to, and airborne concentrations should be no greater than, those found outdoors and in non-complaint areas. Moisture control mechanisms should be implemented in the basement area. A dehumidifier large enough to maintain the relative humidity (R.H.) below 50% should be installed at a central location in the basement. I would recommend using one with a constant drain feature that can either drain into an existing floor/sink drain, or be tied into an existing drain line. This will allow the dehumidifier to run continuously. No mold growth was observed at the time of sampling, however, general housekeeping of this area should be performed with standard household cleaners. Carpets should be HEPA vacuumed as well. The area should be inspected frequently for pipe leaks or other water incursions and cleaned and dried promptly upon occurrence. If spore counts continue to remain elevated, additional investigation may be required, including removal of drywall sections to determine if mold growth is behind walls. If so, additional remediation may be required. Please contact my office with questions or concerns, or if additional information is needed. Sincerely, W. Patrick Gallagher Partner"
