Description of Work: Contracted to replace a Koi pond. Estimate was given By Mr. Pontz first but redone by Adrian Kapp a few months later. Estimate initially was $1650.00 then increased to $2700.00. We informed both parties as to the requirements for the reconstruction of our pond and were informed that as a certified aqua scape contractor, they would guarantee our satisfaction a contract was signed and work was begun. In the process of redoing the pond, several fish died as they were not handled properly and they also forgot to cover the Koi holding tank when they left. The pond was not completed to the specification agreed upon, nor to the aquascape requirements for a koi pond. We attempted to have Pontz and Sons rectify the numerous problems we had, but they would not send a proper representative to our home. They did, however, attempt to jimmy rig one issue, but it did not solve the grave problem of the pond being much too shallow. We had several other aquascape contractors out to review the work done by C. C. Pontz and all told us the pond would have to be completely redone. After receiving several estimated to redo the horrible work by Pontz (estimates ranging from $5000.00 to $6000.00 we again attempted to resolve issues with Pontz, but to no avail. We sued them in small claims court and a judgment was filed against the company. They did not even see fit to pay the penalty issued by the Judge, so a claim of non-payment has been issued in York, county court.
