Acoustic Ceiling Tiles Install, Major Home Repair (General Contractor), Garage Remodeling,

About us

Burry's Waterproofing was established in 1996 as an alternative to the high priced, high pressure model of other companies at the time. Basement waterproofing does not have to be outrageously expensive in order to work, in fact Burry's Waterproofing offers one of the strongest warranties in the business. Because we use better materials all work comes with a life time transferable warranty for as long as the home stands, instead of the warranty that can only be transferred one time offered by companies who use cheaper material. We are recommended by more realtors than any other waterproofing company in Central Pennsylvania because of our excellent warranty, quality workmanship, proven results, and lower prices. Our customers include doctors and dentists offices and homes, schools, churches libraries, pharmacies, and residences in the Central Pennsylvania area. We are a local company that will save you money and do an excellent job , all for less than the big companies charge. And with each cost free no sales pitch estimate, we supply the names of 500 references of customers. We have an A+ rating with the BBB which means no complaints ever. We worked hard to get where we are based on the customer always coming first.

We hired Burry's Waterproofing several months ago to install a sump pump/waterproofing system in our basement since we noticed several leaks coming at the basement floor. Mr. Burry was extremely knowledgeable in the issues we were having and provided an excellent explanation as to why it was occurring and of the work to be performed and what we should expect afterwards. He also provided an informational packet that included a description of the warranty he provides for his services, which is exceptional. We sought out several estimates for this job and felt most at ease with Mr. Burry, not to mention his pricing is very competitive. His work crew was top notch and extremely courteous. I decided to wait several months to write this review so as to provide an accurate idea of how well the basement is staying dry. Prior to Mr. Burry's waterproofing, our basement would get water in it whenever we had heavy rain or rain that lasted a few days. In the 9 months or so since completion, we haven't found one drop of water in the basement. Moreover, the basement air feels cleaner and dryer. We are so pleased that we got it done! Aside from the quality of the work, sitting down to learn about basement waterproofing with Mr. Burry was a nice experience. As a first time homebuyer trying to "do all my homework" prior to making updates to my home, it felt like sitting down with someone who really cared about making our home a better place because he cared about us as people. That's something money can't buy. Thanks, Mr. Burry!

It was done very professionally, unschedule and for a fair price.

Great - Bob's a great guy, his staff were personable and easy to have around while the work got done. He is local for us, and his price was better than the regional companies. The work is excellent, and Bob was very responsive to an issue we brought up.

We have an unfinished basement that never flooded for the first ten years we lived here, then about once a year. Previous owners had sealed the basement when they installed an anti-radon system, which worked fine initially, but started failing during heavy rains. [A different contractor we talked to said that's inevitable with the type of soil we have -- eventually the acidic water eats through the cinderblock walls. The trick is to contain and channel the water, rather than try to keep it out.]
Bob Burry gave us an estimate in October 2013. He apologized in advance for not being able to start right away, but he only has a regular crew he uses and when he gets more work than they can handle, he just takes longer rather than hire temps. He hoped they would be able to start in February 2014, but he couldn't promise.
In February he let us know they would start until the end of March, earliest, but it would more likely be in April. Work actually started mid-April. We moved a few things in the basement to get them away from the walls, but Bob's crew did most of it; they also covered everything with plastic sheeting (which worked pretty well to so-so, depending, on keeping the dust off).
Work went quickly. The crew always showed up on time, making sure someone was there before we left for work in the morning in case we had any questions. The job was very dusty, but there was very little in the upstairs, even though the crew was going through the upstairs to haul out concrete chunks. When the job was done the basement was partially cleaned up, but not totally, since the concrete needed to sit at least 30 days to cure. After 30 days we moved everything back and cleaned up the areas where the crew couldn't reach; took maybe 90 minuted.
Even though our hot water heater is only inches from the wall, Bob's crew was able to tunnel underneath it without moving it. That saved having to bring in a plumber.
The pumps came with a 5-year warranty, and the total work with a lifetime warranty.

price right, mr. burrey is very nice as is his crew.  we had bigger issues with the thickness of concrete that had to be taken out, therefore it took longer to do the job.  it is a messy job.  very messy.  all went well.  good company

The crew did everything. They moved the items that would be in the way and covered everything with plastixc to prevent dust from damaging anything. They used power hammers to remove the concrete flooring around the basement walls. Dug a trench and installed a rigid plastic piping system in new gravel to drain the water away and into a sump. A new pump was installed and a lifetime warranty provided that is transferable to any new buyer should I sell the home. The floor was finish with new concrete and everythig cleaned up. I can highly recommend this contractor because he is honest and the crew was very polite and experienced. The price was the best of three. The estimates ran fro $5799 to $12500. I got a great job at the best price.

Their price for complete basement system was about $5000 which I thought was very reasonable as I have a big basement. They didn’t charge anything for the recent project and they did it for free because they wanted business. I would rate them excellent across the board. I would highly recommend him to anybody as their service is just fantastic. I think that their price is also very reasonable.

I spent around $5000 on that work.  It is a very small company and I had heard him being recommended to other people.  I usually don’t tip anybody that I use but I tipped them because they were awesome.  I had an outside stairway because they carried stones in and dirt out.  I was impressed with that and thought that he did a wonderful job.
