Barry Hoover Painting & Paperhanging

We contacted Barry Hoover Painting & Paperhanging to remodel our bedroom and bathroom. Meeting with Dave Frontz, we know immediately these were the professionals we wanted completing our project. Very professional, friendly and attentive to our needs. Communication concerning the project was excellent and timeliness was spot on. Project was completed on time and felt very comfortable having these professionals in our home. Will be using them for future projects.

Jason arrived on time and reviewed the work order before beginning the job. His work was excellent and organized. He handled taking curtains down and putting back up, in addition to the locks on the windows. The room was totally put back together before he left. He also repaired some small fill in areas along the trim that needed caulked. The job was completed in the time frame allowed (1 day).

Told us we were being unreasonable because we asked for a date to schedule with him when he said he is looking at 2 months out and gave us no idea of when we could expect him. He said he was too busy to deal with that request and said we should just choose someone else.

They are very professional, very courteous, they listened well, and their work was very prompt. We decided to go with them mainly because of reputation.

They were really fast and they were really great about working with some of the repairs that we had to do before we painted. Our house had plaster walls and I was nervous that it wasn't going to turn out very well. But everything looks seamless. They did a great job. The price was a little high but it was worth it.

The entire job took 3 days they were onetime, their professionalism and work ethic is unmatched and just basically good people. My husband is very meticulous and he was very impressed with their services. They cleaned up after themselves everyday. You can trust Barry's advice he was right on I just love the end result.

The prep work done was insufficient. The painting was fine.  They were prompt, polite, and professional. Much of the paint peeled within months of its completion.  I would not use them again.

They were thorough, careful, and reliable. Did everything we asked for and more.

I requested an estimate ASAP and Barry was at my house the next day. I received his estimate two days later. I got 2 painting estimates that were virtually the same cost. I needed the work done ASAP and Barry worked with my time schedule and with the knowledge I might be out of town. Barry called the night before, showed up on time with his crew (a neighbor let him in the garage), and finished almost all the work in one day. A crew member came back the next day for the second coat of oil based paint. Barry and his crew did a beautiful job, on time, and at the agreed price. I could not be happier.

He did a wonderful job. He had a really good price, and the quality of the work was excellent. They are very responsive, they always call back. They clean up after themselves. It's hard to find people this respectable in my area.

They clean up after themselves.  They are conscientious of how to put the wall paper because we did have some difficult wall paper to line up.  They did a good job with that.  In our kitchen they did a real good job because they had to do some cut outs because of the way the ceiling was.

Overall Barry Hoover's work has been excellent. 

Barry and his team does excellent work and they are easy to work with.  I am very particular on workmanship and quality, this was top quality. I would certainly use them again and I highly recommend them to others.

They were professional and courteous.  Kept us apprised of their work and asked many times if we had any questions. We enjoyed having them in our home.

Recommended by realtor to prepare house for sale.  They were very helpful in attempting to minimize costs and did not try to do more than was necessary to make the house look nice.  As I do not live in the area I had to trust them on color choice and other suggestions.  Jason Sutton (the partner on the job) was excellent at communicating with  me and would either call or text with any questions.  Initially they were only going to fit this job in around other jobs but managed to pull in some workers and got the house finished very quickly.  I did get to meet Jason and his crew when they were finishing up and they could not have been nicer.  Jason let me know that if I noticed any areas that needed touching up or anything that needed done later, to not hesitate to contact him. 

Had them back again to do some more painting.  This time the bathroom and the kitchen.  Arrived promptly at 8 and finished by 4:30.  Fantastic job as usual.

Fantastic as we expected.  They prepped the walls prior to painting.  Fixed all the nail pops minor cracks sanded the walls prior to finishing.Also caulked where the baseboards met the walls. They look great!

As was with our first experience with Barry Hoover these guys are GREAT!!  They show up on time and work a full day.  This room is large with a lot of corners and angles and they worked hard to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time.We were very pleased with the work they did and will have them back again for other kobs as needed.

I was sure I would have found somebody else, but actually the job looks nice. I had a really quality paperhanger before who did the work for us previously, but it's not going to be touched. We have an old house and the walls are not splashed or square. The other man hung stripes. I cannot say enough about the quality of his work. I searched for someone and I was told that it was really good. They were very fast. They came in and got out and the paint was wet when they left, but it looks nice. It was a price that I thought was fair. They were very prompt and they showed up on time. I would not give them a bad grade, but I just would not classify them as doing restorative work. They charged me $850 for the wallpaper and $1475 for painting. They had a lot of people in here doing the work. They were up there, but there were just not as great I wanted them to be on the room work. They were very true to their quote. They are a reputable company. I would recommend them to anybody. They told you exactly what they were going to do. They asked questions before they did anything. It was just difficult for us because we are old people and we had to move very heavy furniture and go without a bed for quite a while. It was hard on us that way, but that is not their fault. I might use them again in the future if I had to, but I would just talk to them better about what I want. They are a very busy company.

From the very first time we met for the estimate until they completed the job they were the consumate professionals.The quality and attention to details was amazing! They arrived on time every day and left the house only after they cleaned up so we could be comfortable while the work was going on.
Dave, the forman was always updating us on the progress and what they were doing. Our walls needed some patching and nicks filled in etc. they went beyond what I expected they would do.They were not the cheapest but they were well worth the price we paid.
We have already scheduled them for more work in the early spring.
