When they took the samples, the test results were returned very promptly. After reading the results myself, it appeared that air quality in our home was poor, so I contacted Advantaclean to help me understand the test results. However, Mr. Kieffer could not interpret the results of the test. I had to contact the laboratory myself to have the test results explained to me. Additionally, the results given to me in writing were different than what the laboratory told me, and they stated there was an error, but unsure as to why/how that happened.
As far as the mold remediation is concerned, they set a date and stuck to it. They estimated that it would take three days to complete the job, and they were done in a little less than that. They got rid of the known mold, but they also found mold we were not aware of and got rid of that as well. Moreover, they took photographs of everything to document what was seen and what was done. I thought they were good until we discovered later that they did not do a complete job of getting rid of all of the mold.
Moreover, we based a decision which cost us thousands of dollars on Mr. Kieffer's and quot;expertand quot; opinion. He re-stated that same opinion over and over. Yet, when it really mattered, he stated the complete opposite of what his first and quot;expertand quot; opinion was. His statements were not consistent. What kind of expert services am I receiving if I receive completely opposite advice/opinion within days? I would not use Advantaclean's services again.

John was very professional and informative. Unlike other companies we looked at, he did not use scare tactics to try to get our business. He had our family's best interests at heart and took the time to examine our situation (both the mold situation in the basement and our financial situation) and helped us make the best decision for our family.

Our sewer line clogged causing raw sewage to back up into our finished basement through a drain pipe used for our water softener discharge line. We contacted Advantaclean of Lancaster on a Monday. We spoke with John Kieffer the owner. He was very professional and understood the urgency of the matter. John contacted our insurance company, got the approval to complete the clean up and removal of soiled materials. John and an employee Jesus, came out first thing the next morning. They were pleasant, professional, and prepared to complete the job. They removed bagged and removed ruined personal items from a closet that was impacted. They even inventoried the items so we had a list for the insurance company- the list was extremely helpful when we completed the insurance forms for coverage. All the soiled personal items, carpeting, drywall, insulation, and other ruined items were bagged into heavy plastic bags and removed from our property. As the sewage came out of a pipe high on the closet wall, they cleaned and sanitized all the affected areas and any items they felt may have any contamination. Other work included removal of drywall, carpeting, insulation, bifold doors, floor trim and shelving I had built in the closet. All this was bagged before being carried out of the affected area as well. They then recommended a contractor for the construction repairs and contacted them for us. They utilized a huge dehumidifier air scrubber and 3 fans over the next 3 days to sanitize the air and remove any extra remaining humidity. They made an extremely unpleasant event much easier on us. I highly recommend them. A very professionally run business.
