ERNIE'S TRANSMISSIONS

The overdrive on my 1998 4WD pickup truck's transmission was not functioning correctly. The overdrive would hesitate on the upshift and downshifted very hard. Took my truck to them on the advice of another individual. I requested an evaluation of the transmission and 4WD. They told me that the transmission service was about $150, a transmission rebuild for this truck was about $3200, and that the average cost of differential repairs was $1500 per. They inspected the truck and advised me that a transmission service might be all that was needed. They also advised me that if the service did not resolve the issue, a transmission repair would be required. They also inspected my differentials and stated they looked good. I was expecting a rebuild and if they had said a rebuild was necessary, I would not have questioned it. They serviced the transmission which cost $125. The transmission service corrected the problem. They were honest and straight up about everything. Also, I have spoken to several individuals who have had work done with them and they all say the service was a bit pricey, but on the high end of average for the work they had done and that the work done was very good. My experience with these people was very positive and I have recommended them to several individuals
