Framing is an art. I've lost count of the number of pieces Amy has framed for my home over the years...paintings, prints, posters. Her knowledge, expertise and artistry result in a WOW! framing every time. It's fun meeting with her at her shop to discuss framing a new piece, because the process is so enjoyable. I've found that she listens to the story behind the piece and incorporates that into her work. The last piece I brought in was a dynamic serigraph poster from The Record Company's WXPN concert. She picked just the right frame(s) and glass to make it pop off the wall. Thanks, Amy!

Amy has framed numerous pieces for me over the years, including photographs, posters, and paintings on canvas and most recently paper. She has a wonderful ability to truly enhance each piece of art with the perfect framing job. When I first visited her many years ago, I walked in thinking I knew just what size, color, and style of frame I wanted. I was so glad that when she offered to share her ideas of what she thought might look better for that piece, I was open to listening. She had mulitple ideas that were leaps and bounds beyond what I would have ever thought of. Over the years I've come to trust her expertise and creative eye so much that I ask her first what she thinks and I rarely have anything to add. The latest item I brought her was an old watercolor that was slightly faded, a sentimental family piece that had been sitting in a closet. The framing job Amy did coordinates so beautifully with the painting that the whole thing is a standout piece that my husband and I'll be proud to hang.

I brought an approximately 16-inch x 20-inch painting to Amy's shop during her regular business hours. She looked at it with me and pulled out several frame options for me to see with the painting, her first choice being spot-on. She has a superior talent for seeing what goes best with a piece of art. This is at least the 7th work of art I've brought to her for framing over the past 10 years. She's framed paintings for me and also famed signed prints with matting behind glass. Amy's studio looks like a working studio. It is not set up to look like a pristine frame shop at a mall. She has been framing for years and her expertise in frame selection and the quality of the framing job she does is excellent. She will work with you if you have preferences or something specific in mind, and warmly reminds you that "you are the boss". But, honestly, you'll short-change yourself if you don't at least hear what she thinks might work best. As for price, her pricing seems competitive, although I must admit I don't shop around these days since I feel she's the best.
My frame job was ready to pick up in about a week. It looks spot -on fantastic and is hanging in my hallway. The double frame with colors and finish that complement the painting, really enhance the painting and very successfully make it seem like a larger work of art on my wall. As requested, Amy paid special attention to masking the view of the hanging eyelets and wire on the back so that it won't stand out when one sees the painting from the side as walking down the hall. I'm super happy with it!
