DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR - EVER!!!! Shultz was contracted to install hardwood floors in my home and re-use carpeting on my first floor. While the floor was impeccably installed, the following issues were encountered: when he installed my stairs, he used plastic corner moulding, and glue when I contacted Adam he told me that the plastic was temporary. I told him that this needed to be fixed ASAP, as the plastic cracked as I was going downstairs, and my sock caught on the plastic, causing me to fall and fracture my knee. He decided not to come back and finish my installation, because " he was getting tired of returning to my house to fix the problems". I told him that if he wasn't going to return that I was going to hold on to the balance ($1000.00). He would up trying to sue me for $2000!!! I COUNTER SUED AND I WON. I sort of won, because the overall cost of repairs for:Replacing all my stepsRefinishing a wall that is completely off levelInstalling baseboardsFixing the carpetingRepairing the exposed LIVE wires in 2 closetsfinishing the moulding around the fireplace Is going to be $4327.44 The insult is that he had his brother (the flooring expert) and his mother call me and threaten me. When I told both of them that I was injured due to his negligence, the mother told me that she didn't care about my health issues.
