SMOOTH FITNESS

In January 2007, I called Smooth service to report that my treadmill running surface had delaminated and had caused the treadmill belt to tear. The material that I received from Smooth at the time of my purchase of the treadmill in 2001 indicated that the running surface was covered under warranty. The Smooth representative agreed to send me a replacement running surface without charge. I also understood that Smooth was going to send me a replacement belt. I did, within several days, receive a new running surface, but not new belt. I called again and again received an indication that a new belt would be received. None ever was sent. For various reasons, I did not actually replace the running surface until January 2008. When I did, I found that the running surface was too small. When I contacted Smooth in January and Feb 2008, they would not exchange the surface for one that fit, even though I had also purchased $500 over additional repair parts. I simply wanted an exchange.
