Shreiner Tree Care

I cannot say enough good things about Shreiner. Prior to the work starting, their arborist came out to my property and we reviewed several different options. After a good deal of back & forth, we elected to move forward with a day's worth of work with the goal of taking down as many trees as they could in a day. They ended up taking down six 100+ foot Tulip Poplar trees in a day (more than they thought they could get done). On the day of the service, they were on-site promptly at 7:30 with everything they needed. They were as efficient as possible, and they were willing to work around any obstacles in the lawn (we'd recently had some external drains dug in the front/side of the house, and they were very accommodating to that). And at the end of the day, they took everything with them. The yard looked like they were never even there (aside from the fact that 6 trees were no longer there). It was actually in better condition when they left than when they got there. So many times, you read about companies who fail to meet customers' expectations. This is NOT one of those times. Shreiner did a fantastic job, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have any tree work done.

Shreiner Tree Care did an excellent job. There were several issues beyond their control (blizzards, rain storms), but with each setback, they were very communicative and professional. Their men were very courteous and prompt, and worked quickly and efficiently. Throughout, my contact at Shreiner (Tyler) handled everything extremely well and even sent a thank you note when services were complete. They even went beyond their initial work order and ground all surface roots throughout my yard without any additional charges. If you want a job well-done, with attention to detail, then hire Shreiner.

Got a professional opinion and options ranging from attempting to save the two trees to full removal. Opted for the removal and the crew was extremely professional, safe and clean. I've recommended them to all who've asked and then remembered we had this account as well. Price was a little more than most, but I reached out to Longwood Gardens and Natural Lands Trust for their opinion on a talented, trustworthy arborist, and they recommended these guys...worth the small premium for that endorsement, in my opinion. I didn't feel like we were just cutting down trees for the sake of cutting down trees. I was given a quick education on the matter and felt like we were able to make an informed decision without pressure to just remove them.

Very well. Work was done well and as scheduled. Workers were very skilled.

Last year's ice storm did incredible damage everywhere and we had our share. This is only one of the jobs Shreiner did for us. It took them a bit longer to get to us and that was understandable with all the more serious damage in our area. We weren't home when the work was done and I had some questions. They didn't just call me, someone came out to look at the work done and answer my questions. For the past several years we have signed up for Shreiner's Plant Care Health Program for our trees and shrubs. Four times a year one of the certified arborists visit our property for routine maintenance and to inspect the landscape for any seasonal pests and diseases. This has proven very helpful in keeping our landscape lush and healthy. Shreiner is now the only company we use for our tree and shrub work. Their employees are extremely dedicated and professional. They deserve their excellent reputation. We highly recommend them.

They came and did the work as scheduled.

Tree was removed safely; wood removed in a timely fashion; stump grinding done well; grading and seeding was only fair; they should have added top soil. Minor damage to lawn from bucket truck on lawn (despite their putting down protective planks) but it's an easy fix in the spring. This was a tricky tree removal and I was pleased overall. I doubt if any tree service could have done it perfectly according to my very exacting standards. I have seen others do sloppy work compared to Shreiner.  They did a double stump grind, i.e., grind it once, remove debris, then do it a second time to get as many  roots as possible.  This was done well and it will be hard to tell that there was a tree there. This is what I wanted and so worth the price.

Shreiner sent an estimator who walked the property with us to show us what work was required.  After estimating the cost in detail we agreed to the work.  The crew showed up as scheduled and was very professional and thorough.  Afterwards we asked for additional work and again the crew came out and performed everything we requested.  They have excellent, modern equipment, get right to work, and clean up nicely.  We have used Shreiner for several years and will use them again.  They are also quite knowledgeable about where we can expect problems without any "hard sell" to perform unnecessary work before it is needed.

Shreiner Tree Care does all of our tree work including healthcare, trimming, removing dead or damaged trees, planting new trees. Their prices are very competitive. Their professionalism is exceptional, they are on time and will always keep an eye for other issues that we may have missed. They have taken care of our development for 4 years and the more mature the trees get, the more we need. Dean is very prompt and professional ensuring that from beginning to end, the community looks professionally cared for. If there are extra, little things to be done, the guys will more often than not take care of it while they are here - very willingly. When we have had emergency issues, they have been extremely prompt and very fair with prices. They are extremely trustworthy.

Everyone who visits our development comments how pretty it is. Shreiner deserves significant credit and we have always been very happy with their work

Everything went well, and they did a good job.

We moved into a Main Line house with lots of mature trees last November.  We had several different tree companies here for estimates in order to cut back trees and dead branches.  Steve Shreiner came out himself and gave a very thorough summary of what work we needed to do immediately for safety purposes.  He even recommended doing some other things in the winter time because it would be less expensive.  They took down 4 dead trees, cut back several others and got rid of the stumps.  They were very responsive throughout the process.  All of the people in their office were kind, helpful & responsive.  This was perhaps one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with a home service company.

Overall, this was a very satisfying experience.  We were concerned about the impact of their work on other trees and plantings and they were careful not to disturb other items on our property.

Got three different companies to quote the job.  All were similar.  Shreiner was extremely professional and polite.  They explained everything they were doing thoroughly.  I feel that they are truly experts in the tree care business.  I trusted their recommendations.  They did an extremely thorough job.  We were very pleased with the whole process and will undoubtedly use them again.

They were pleasant and very nice. They were reliable and did everything that they said they would. There was a small accident that broke a part of the pavement. They said they would fix it, and they did. They were great. Their price was pretty much the same as that of the others.

They were good and they came on time. They did afavor for me and cut down an extra branch. They cleaned up their work and were done in a timely fashion. The price was reasonable.

However, when I contacted Shreiner Tree Care at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, they really came through for us! Within 30 minutes, they had one of their guys in our driveway evaluating the situation. I apologized for having them come out so late on the eve a long holiday weekend, and was fully expecting them to tell me they would be out sometime next week. He assured me it was no problem to come out at such short notice and was concerned that if left unattended the 70 foot tall tree might shift and cause more damage. He made a few quick calls and told me that a crew would be there first thing in the morning. Sure enough, they were true to their word. A full crew, trucks and crane were there at 8:00 am to begin work. It took nearly four hours to remove the mammoth sized tree from my garage and cart off all the debris. In addition, they secured a tarp over the roof where the tree penetrated, to keep out any rain. Needless to say, we gave them the go ahead to do the rest of the work on our property. I mentioned that we were having a party in two weeks and sked if they could get things done before then. Once again, they came through, removing six additionally large trees and pruning a dozen others. We couldn't have been more pleased. One last note - we had a number of neighbors question us about hiring Shreiner Tree Service. Apparently they have an undeserved reputation for being expensive. Our experience shows otherwise. We received bids from four "well known" area tree services and Shreiner was priced very competitively. In addition, the personnel were extremely knowledgable and and professional and made several recommendations that we hadn't considered. When you put it all together - competitive pricing, outstanding and responsiveness service and friendly, professional staff, I highly recommend Shreiner Tree Service. My only regret - is not putting this update out there sooner. With the heavy rains last night and windstorms forecasted today, other members deserve to have this information, should they need Shreiner Tree Service.

I had one good experience with them. Their prices I believe are high. They did what they said they would do and they did a nice job. I would not use them again because of cost. Their prices I think were out of line which I found out on further discovery on other work. I did not have any difficulty with the work. My main issue with them was price. That is nothing I can hold against them at this point. They quoted me a price and I went with it. But since I have discovered that there are other people who do this kind of work and have much better pricing than what these people offered.

How did Shreiner do? From start to finish all of their personnel are very professional and very knowledgeable; this is the difference between dealing with arborist and a tree cutting company. They truly understand trees and plants. I would call the difference between the two comparing a butcher to a surgeon; it truly depends on what your needs are on which one you should choose. They had one of their sales members come out to visit our property very shortly after contacting them. Their sales members are all certified arborist, so they understand what they are looking at and have a passion for their work. He arrived right on schedule and took ample time walking the property with me, discussing all our options, our needs, and actively engaged me in questions and ensuring that he understood my goals and needs. I received an emailed quote a few days later. Their prices are higher than you would expect if you were having your local tree cutting company coming out to do the work, however, you get what you pay for here. The work they performed was exactly what the sales member described. The crew arrived right on-time, and walked the entire property with me to ensure they understood exactly what I needed them to do. The guys were very polite, very knowledgeable and worked very hard the entire day. They had me come out a couple of times to check-in, ask additional questions, and ensure that I was satisfied with their work when they were done. They took a great deal of time to clean up after themselves, and even cut some of the larger pieces of wood into firewood-sized blocks for us as we requested. If you need a tree cut down, pay some local company a couple hundred bucks to take it down, chop it up, and be done with it. However, if you need a true professional tree pruning or tree care done to your property, call an arborist. I would recommend Shreiner Tree Care to anyone for their professional tree care needs.

They are local to this area. They are very competitive on pricing and very easy to work with. They came and gave us an estimate and offered different payment options. They scheduled the work right away. I would use them again in future.
