Robert Kelly was good for lawn mowing.  They came on a regular schedule and mowed the lawn.  However, when we called to discuss more involved landscaping work (weed & seed, mulching), it took repeated calls to receive a call back, and once we did speak with Mr. Kelly and he said he would go ahead and do the work, the work was never done.  Repeated phone calls to ask why were left unanswered.  Yet, at end of 2014 season, we received a bill for all of the lawn mowing work, which we paid.  
Now, beginning summer 2015.  Men from this company show up at our place and just start mowing the lawn.  We never resigned any contract, never contacted Robert Kelly.  So, we figure, ok, they're good at mowing lawn, so we'll go with it.  However, when we had some extensive landscaping work done (by another company) and contacted Mr. Kelly to STOP mowing the lawn (the lawn needed to be left alone for awhile), again all we got was an answering machine...and someone from RAK services showed up while we weren't home and mowed our lawn, moved our sprinklers without replacing them, and a large mud pit was created.  Repeated calls to Mr. Kelly to inquire why this happened have been left unanswered, unreturned.
So, they're fine at mowing lawn.  Customer service is a zero.  If you need to contact them for any changes, any requests (even if it's to do more work for which they would profit), no luck.

We have been using Robert for lawn care since we moved to the area in 2012.  His prices were better than anyone else we received estimates from, and we have always been pleased with his work.  I cannot recommend highly enough.  He's a fantastic resource.

I have used Robert Kelley Landscaping  for many landscaping jobs and always was satisfied.  He was always conscientious of his work and did a great job (mulching, planting, spring clean up, french drain etc).  We asked him to re-seed our front lawn since it was patchy, uneven and overcome with weeds.
He came in with a rototiller and dug up the lawn and sliced up our underground dog fence in multiple locations (I told him where it was approximately).  He spent some time trying to repair the fence and was worried that he would have to purchase new wire.  He repaired it by using electrical tape - now I am worried that the fence won't hold up with just electrical tape.
Also, he did not smooth out the dirt or use a roller so the yard remained uneven.  The grass grew but was extremely spotty so again the yard was patchy.
I contacted Robert many times to discuss the problems by phone and text and he did not respond.
One year and $800 later I have the same exact yard (minus some weeds).

It went well. For the digging up of the black-eyed susans he responded to my phone call and came out promptly and was able to dig out the plants right then. I had called several other landscapers but he was the first one to actually schedule a time to come. He dug up the plants and raked the soil so that everything looked great. The other day he came when he said and did a great job planting the new bushes. He cleaned up the area and took away the dead plants and branches from the maple tree.

They honest, had good prices and good work.

Over all it has gone well and am hoping to have a continued working relationship.

He was prompt every week, was very careful with the yard, and didn't push any other services. I would recommend him to anyone looking for lawn care.

Prompt, very, very nice and professional. Robert and his team did the work in the timeframe he outlined, always keeping us up to date on progress and kept on budget.

They said they would call me back. They said they could come out on the Wednesday and they never showed. They wasted my whole day.

We purchased a home in this area last February but could not move in until June, due to having modifications made among other reasons. By May, the yard was a jungle. I had several estimates done both for initial cleanup and weekly mowing. Robert personally answered my initial call, and since then he has always been extremely easy to reach if necessary. His quotes were significantly less than his competitors, and I'm glad to have found him. Great guy, great service, highly recommend.

Robert showed up very quickly to give me a quote, showed up on time and did a very nice job pulling weeds, edging and trimming the shrubs around my property. One thing to note is that he is proud of his work and was sincerely interested in what I thought of the job. He didn't finish around my entire property and I emailed him about it - to my pleasant surprise he came back and completed the job fully. He has quoted me on another project involving laying down a river rock bed for drainage and errosion prevention which I intend on calling him back for.

Very responsive, personable, and professional. Takes pride in his work and respects the client's agenda.
Knows his field and continues to grow in it. This makes the customer deepen in trust for his services, recommendations, and vision for the future of the property.

Robert was professional, punctual, complete, and accommodating. He made excellent landscaping suggestions that were appropriate to my circumstances. The crew was pleasant, and they hauled away all the debris. I would hire him again anytime.

We contacted Robert through our neighbors, who use his services. He gave us an estimate for trimming many shrubs on our property, then performed the work later that week. He also worked with a tree specialist to take down a large oak tree.
