Mazzi Contractors

I looked up in Angie's list and called  Mazzi contractors. He was very nice and drove by the place although it was a weekend. He gave me an estimate of $700. He could not start the job due to bad weather.
In the meantime I contacted another company, APM Masonry & Construction. They came, inspected and gave me an estimate of $6800.
Mazzi did the job fo $700. They are very honest and professional people. I will use them again and recommend to anyone.

We were looking for a contractor to remodel our 150 sq. ft. bathroom and closet. We called their company to give us a quote. Someone came out and looked at the area and said he would send a quote. A few days later he called back and said he would like to have his partner look at the job. I agreed and scheduled another time to meet. They came over again and looked at the project. They also asked me what my budget was several times. I don't feel comfortable telling anyone what my budget is until after we come to terms. I expect to tell a contractor what I'm looking for and show them the area. They should then give me a quote for what they think it would cost to do they job. During the last meeting they mentioned that it was probably going to be a 35k job. Since I've recieved 3 other quotes I knew that was very high. They seemed very discouraged when I told them that 35k was way out of my budget. Over 6 weeks have passed and they never even bothered to send a quote. I wasted two appointments with them that each took over 40 minutes. I found them to be unprofessional and do not respect other people's time. I recommend calling someone else.

In response to Mazzi Contractors message below I'd like to update my review. Their message reinforces what I was complaining about. It took them two separate meetings for them to finally get me to tell them my budget. They would not stop pressuring me for a specific number. Any contractor that can't provide a quote without knowing you're budget is not trust worthy. They also admit never sending a quote. So they decided to waste my time coming to my house twice and then decided to never send a quote or even tell me why. They never told me that they couldn't fit our budget. They just never responded. Is this the type of company you want doing a 35K remodel? They obviously have no idea how to treat people or customers.

We had our bathroom remodel done to our satisfaction for $13,500. This included everything we described to Mazzi Contractors. Their price was $35,000 for a 150 sq. ft bathroom and a 40 sq. ft. closet. They are over priced contractors preying on uniformed consumers. My last contractor did mess up my remodel 5 years ago but he came highly recommended and wasn't cheap. He did bad work but how would I know that until after the job was done. Sorry Mazzi Contractors but your unprofessional response shows how bad you really are and reinforces our decision to stay clear of your company. I'm glad you never sent the quote I may have been scared into signing it in fear of having another bad job done. Fortunately for me I got many quotes and found that your ballpark number was about $20,000 to high. In fact your "off the cuff" quote was $18,000 higher that the highest quote we received.

If you want an over priced remodel or if you just want to waste your time contract Mazzi Contractors.

I contacted several roofers in the area and on Angie's List for estimates.  It just so happened that I had received a promotional flyer in the mail from Mazzi contractors offering services at reduced prices as part of an area advertising campaign.  Jim Ledo came to my house and looked at the roof.  He was professional and courteous and gave an honest assessment of the job.  The roof was started by Val and I was highly impressed by his punctuality and work ethic.  He worked all day, mostly by himself, stopping only for lunch.  He was neat and careful and seemed to take pride in his work. At the end of each day, he cleaned up everything and you never knew he had been here.  He worked by himself three straight days and on the fourth day, Mike brought a crew to finish the job in a timely manner.  Mike then stopped in to assess everything.  I actually had him look at another small job for an estimate.  The roof looks amazing and I would highly recommend and consider Mazzi Contractors for future work.  Thank you, Jim and Mike for making this experience a pleasant one.

I did not get the house fan I was looking forward too because I was a few blocks out of his area!

I never received a call to schedule an estimate.

They were very thourough, professional and prompt. They did a nice job.

We ended up not getting the work done. They were very prompt and told us right away why they couldn’t get the work done.

I was looking to have some work done and I looked at the recommendation after Mazzi Contractors gave me the quote. There was nothing about them either way it was more of a pricing issue. I found someone that was less expensive. I wouldn't say they were expensive. There is nothing the matter with them like they were overly expensive. It is just that there was somebody else that was less expensive. They are really nice people. They came out when they said they would.

They were good. The guy who did the work did an excellent work. The only thing is that they didn’t clean up as well as I would have like. That was the only downside. We got this new product. It’s not aluminum siding, its vinyl siding and it’s very attractive and they did very nice work. I would have liked a better price. They came back and did kind of a punch list that we wanted.

A week later all they gave me was an estimate with no plans. I was only interested in the plan and not in his labor services and they weren’t happy about that. Essentially, I was charged $50 for a quote. I asked for a refund from Angie’s List and contacted the service provider regarding my concerns and they did respond.

I purchased the $99.00 Deal because of the work I needed done to my aluminum siding piece. 

Everything went as planned.  Jim came out to perform the job.  He was very professional and knowledgeable and performed the job that needed to be done.  I would use Mazzi Contractors again for future jobs.

They were good. They were friendly and seemed knowledgeable. They were fair and had competitive prices.

I purchased a big deal from him but there was another sp that could do what we wanted for a lesser price.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did a great job. They were very prompt and they repaired the issues in our roof.

I ordered the Big Deal on 5/7 and had a reply by 5/8 that they would put me on the schedule.  I had not heard anything from them, nor seen any work, so I contacted them on 5/30 to find out when they would be out.  The next day Jim replied  that the work had been done on 5/9.  I went outside and looked at the house and could find no evidence of new caulking except for a couple of clumps of clear around the front door.  I responded that I was not happy at all.  Jim replied immediately that he would make things right and had a different crew out the next day.  The work that was completed on June 1 was well done.

My husband & I called at least 4 contractors for roofing estimates. Our roof was damaged from the storm last year. It took awhile with our  insurance agency to complete their roof inspection and release a check. Once, the insurance check was issued  we were able to move forward in contacting roofing companies to get estimates for a new roof. I spoke with neighbors and  visited roofing companies  from home shows.  There was a range in prices but it was worth the time in investigating the roofing companies and checking up on references.  
We made a decision to go with Mazzi contractors due to longevity of their business, and the quality of their work from references we contacted.  What surprised me most was the speed in getting this job done. It was completed in 3 full days, the roof and gutters.  This was amazing to us because a neighbor down the street had roofing work done by a different roofing company  that took 3 months.
The roofers from Mazzi contractors that came to my home were polite and efficient. There was no loud music playing from the  trucks.There were quiet.  When the job was completed the debris that fell was cleaned up swiftly. A metal sweeper was passed over our lawn to pick up any loose nails. The roof & gutters look beautiful !  It is almost too good to believe that it went this easy.
I hope any new future home improvement projects we may encounter will go as smoothly.  I highly recommend MAZZI  Contractors. The pricing was very competitive. I am a believer in you get what you pay for. Plus, go with someone who knows the business well.

The were very responsive and responded to my inquiry fairly quickly. They were very courteous and very professional. The contractor who came out had some good ideas in addition to the original things I had asked him about. He did not get back to me as punctually as he said he would. He said he would get back to me that night with an estimate and two days later he still had not gotten back to me. I didn't know if there was a problem with the email but it definitely had an impact on me in the decision making. I would still consider using them.

I called the Monday after I signed up for the Big Deal. The service provider connected me with the maintenance specialist Jim. He and I talked on the phone and he scheduled me for a visit. He told me that I didn't need to be home for the maintenance visit. He asked me if there were any areas that needed particular scrutiny and I gave some areas that may need attention - back door and bay window. He said that he had a ladder that would allow him to reach up to the sidings above ground level to inspect. He said that he would nail down any loose sidings if found. 
I came home and saw that caulking were applied in places where it would help to prevent water seepage around the windows. I cannot attest to other places where work was done since I cannot climb up. Meant to call back to ask but I have not yet gotten time to.  
I feel that the overall experience was good and fair service rendered.

We recently had our windows and sliding glass doors installed by Mazzi Contractors.  We were highly impressed and satisfied with the professionalism and craftsmanship that was done in our home.  I found Mazzi Contractor's men to be very hard workers and dedicated to the job.  They were punctual, considerate, and cautious with their equipment  in our yard.  Most importantly I admired their attitude and concern of our approval.  We were extremely pleased with our new windows and sliding glass doors.  Everything was done to our satisfaction!  I highly recommend Mazzi Contractors for any work needed in your home.  We are considering a new roof soon and Mazzi Contractor will definitely be our choice.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He wanted me to purchase his services to do the kitchen but I am still looking.
