Jay Conlen did a wonderful job staining the exterior of my log cabin. He explained the process and technical aspects before and during the project. He and his team were considerate and very respectful of my property. I was very impressed with how he even filled in cracks where needed. I will definitely be calling on him in the upcoming years! So, yes I would definitely recommend him.

Jay and his team are great to work with and had very reasonable pricing. They were extremely professional and detailed in their work, and cleaned up their materials at the end of each day to make sure the house was still navigable. Went very well. Jay was very professional. He showed up on time, provided some guidance on how to handle a strange 1/2 wall we have, and did a great job. The work took a bit longer than expected, and he did not charge extra for that. He stuck to his estimate. I will use Jay again.

The service provided by Jay and his team was excellent. We received a prompt phone call back when initially contacting Jay for an estimate. Jay was timely in providing an estimate - both in coming onsite and following up with the written estimate via email. Jay's prices are very fair (we received estimates from four different companies and his by far was the lowest provided). Although our initial date of service was scheduled for approximately two months after we received the estimate, Jay was able to move us up due to cancellations in the schedule. The work was completed in a single day and the crew were professional, considerate of our home (e.g. covered surfaces, cleaned, placed everything back), and the end result was excellent.

Jay was very professional and responsive regarding the quote and was able to get the job done within two weeks of meeting with him. The rooms looks great and the guys left the house just as they found it.

Jay was great! He came to paint a guest bedroom. He was very knowledgeable, and willing to share his expertise. He was very efficient, and performed the job, perfectly-even helped me hang a picture after. I would definitely use him again.

It was as good as could be expected.  Jay is very professional and goes above and beyond.  He included in all the work he performed the rehanging of a bathroom door and some outside touchup painting.  Price was very reasonable for the quality of the work performed. I will definitely call Jay in the future when additional work is needed.

Jay responded quickly to my quote request and was very fast to schedule the date of painting! I was a pain and had to reschedule several times but Jay was very accommodating! The work was finished in 2 days and looks so beautiful!! Everything was extremely professional and they even went above and beyond by fixing any and all nail pops in the wall prior to painting! I'm so glad I hired a professional and the price was very reasonable!! Worth every penny!

My hope was to get the necessary wall repairs completed and the two room repainted. I wasn't even considering the woodwork, but Jay suggested that it was good to do the woodwork, also - and told me he'd likely have time to complete the woodwork -  in addition to the work I'd planned. Wow. Jay and his partner were outstanding. They both worked diligently to get things done & I felt very comfortable with having them in my home.  The repairs were completed flawlessly. Before starting, Jay warned me that one of the repairs might not be perfect due to the structural situation, but promised that he'd do his best. (I watched for two days while he removed all the old material and then completed the repair and painted if. The repairs look perfect in my eyes. Both rooms were completely painted and look great. I'm planning  to have more rooms painted in a few months.

Jay Conlen is a true professional--what I expect from Angie's List contractors.  He arrived on time for the estimate.   Told me that he would send an estimate to paint the entire hallway and repair a crack in ceiling due to house settling.   We set up a date, he told me how much paint to initially purchase (he did need more).  

The entire job took two days, but he was working alone.  Excellent work!!!

Can't imagine a better job, or a more careful provider.   The proof of my opinion is that I want him to do the same to another bathroom, and large bedroom.   The only currant problem is his delayed availability, since his time has been booked by others and I have to wait.   That's probably due to reviewers writing as I have done, and people reading them.   I thought I was the best customer he ever had, but looks like many other's equally happy.
