Overall, the job was performed as expected, however, tech sat on our furniture and damaged the chair, ottoman and pillow.  Contacted Directv and they contacted this outfit and some kid came to the house and looked at it and said it didn't smell like silicone, so they didn't think it was their responsibility.
They called after that and left a message with our son, who told them to call back later because he had no idea what they were talking about.  I called them and they never returned my call.  It wasn't until I sent another letter to Directv that they finally contacted me. 
They said they talked with the installer who then blatantly lied about having sat on the furniture.  He sat there for over 1/2 an hour bragging about all the work he did to his first house and how he was building another one.  We even know where he lives in MD.   Now do you think someone could stand there programming a remote and telling us all of this???  Doubtful. 
Sadly, the company backed up this guys lies. 
If I could do it again, I would refuse Directv installation purely on the integrity of this company who hires people who damage your personal property.  
Get an official Directv installer.  Not this subcontractor.  Make sure they're driving a Directv vehicle and not some pick-up or vehicle not identified as Directv.
