 + 0 moreexcellent! Mark and Al did a fantastic job. They made sure the workplace stayed clean at the end of each day, and did top notch work! They even managed to keep our cats from getting out. Highly recommended .

 + 3 moreThe work was done in stages from fall 2010 (windows and front door) followed by summer-fall 2011 (portico, walkway and driveway) and was all performed extremely well, though at times weather and other factors delayed completion beyond original estimates (this did not bother us, however). We got along very well with Mark, his subcontractors, and his business partner, John Tallman, who handled the billing. Overall we fellt that we got excellent value for the overall cost, which was quite competitive for this area. As a result we are employing them to do some additional work on our sidewalk and deck this summer. We would certainly recommend Belfry for any home improvements involving carpentry or masonry work.
Description of Work: Replacement of 3 windows and replacement of 4 sets of shutters on first floor front of house; replacement of steel front door with finished mahogany front door, including mahogany framing; replacement of front steps by larger platform covered by portico supported by 2 front columns, requiring regrading of ground adjacent to front of house, installation of footers, and repairs to stucco and foundation on front of house; replacement of front walkway with stone walkway set in concrete; replacement of blacktop driveway with new blacktop, including regrading.Mark Kiernan and an assistant did the carpentry; his subcontractors did the excavations, masonry, and driveway work. Note that we are not evaluating here additional work (staining, plumbing [repair to damaged sewer line discovered during excavation], and landscaping) done by contractors he recommended.
