Allied Waste Services of Valley Forge

We have had this service for several years. They have been unusually bad at keeping to their schedule. Frequently the trucks do not show up at all or show up on days they are not scheduled. When my husband or I call we usually talk with very pleasant telephone responders and they assure us that a truck will be "right out" and apologize for the truck never even showing up. This is nice but irrelevant. Today is a common example. Yesterday was the day for the yard waste pick up. No truck ever showed up and we did not even receive a call. So my husband called this morning and a pleasant young woman said " we are sorry and will be there this afternoon." Of course no one ever showed up. So I called later in the afternoon and spoke with another pleasant young woman who said the "trucks were running late" ( 2 days???) and they would either be here later today or tomorrow. I explained that it was getting ready to storm and the bags would get wet and my husband and I would spend hours putting the soggy waste into new bags. She asked if I wanted to file a complaint. I said yes and received a number for the complaint. It is now several hours later and getting ready to rain and of course no one has ever shown up and no one has called me to take the formal complaint. This is typical as a business practice for Republic Services.

SECRETARIES ARE RUDE, THE ''MANAGERS'' ARE NOT RESPONSIVE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN CARE THAT I WAS UPSET THAT THEY HAVEN'T PICKED MY TRASH UP IN 4 WEEKS! THEN I TOLD THEM I WAS GOING TO USE ANOTHER COMPANY AND THEY TOLD ME I WOULDN'T BE A LOSS TO THEM AND GOOD BYE.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE TO WORK WITH, HORRIBLE COMPANY. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

WE LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE WE HAVE TO CONTRACT OUR OWN TRASH COLLECTION. WE HAVE USED BFI FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. WE BRIEFLY SWITCHED TO ANOTHER COMPANY LAST SUMMER, BUT QUICKLY RETURNED TO BFI. WE FIND THAT BFI PICKS UP THE TRASH AND RECYCLING WHEN SCHEDULED, AND DOES SO WITH AS LITTLE DISRUPTION TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD AS POSSIBLE.
