"WHY ON EARTH would you give me a C?!? First thing, I have not lived or done business in your area in well over a year. I have been in PA since Dec 2014. This review is coming 14 MONTHS after I measured your kitchen. Second: Do you not remember the way this went? Do you not remember rescheduling the appointment and being so picky about when I could come that I had to jump through hoops to get an appointment? Do you not remember me spending an hour and a half in your kitchen, very politely answering every question you had? Most of them not related to anything I was there to do. This was free consultation, freely given to you in the spirit of good will. Do you not remember me, in a very timely fashion, sending you a design with a number of renderings of exactly what you asked for? Do you not remember not calling me back? Not giving me any idea if the 7 hours of my time and $50.00 worth of gas were going to amount to a project, or a sale? Do you not remember that the ONLY WAY I know that you decided not to proceed on you kitchen remodel is this thoughtless (or malicious) C that you gave me.....out of nowhere!?!?! I gave you exactly what you requested of me and more than what you paid Angie's List for (I don't receive any of the money you paid, and on top of that it cost me hundreds of dollars to run the ad on AL). I gave you more time and more FREE consultation than anyone else would have. THIRD: YOU decided not to do your project, It's written right there in your review. Why trash me and my company because you decided not to remodel. To anyone reading this: Please feel free to contact me and I will send you a copy of all correspondence between myself and this customer. I will also send you the entire design done for her project. This type of B.S is why I, and most other well established builders, don't use A.L. Even more B.S, this customer is allowed to respond again but I, as the one paying all that money to A.L ($225/month - one year contract) am only permitted to respond one time."
"For anyone, reading this, that does not understand, I will make this as clear as I can. I make money selling cabinets, and designing. When there is no money (for me) to be made, as is the fact in this case, I CANNOT spend all my time working for FREE. This is a project that I am NOT INTERESTED in doing. I designed the kitchen, dining room and laundry area. Again, anyone interested in having outstanding work done, and a good price on cabinets may feel free to contact me."
"I am responding to this review because it is very unfair. I did 3 sets of designs and provided her with 2 sets of design. The first is very close to what was requested. It was adjusted to make it function and flow. She wanted countertop that extended into a doorway! The second was just another option. This customer paid 49.00 for a design and then fully expected me to put thousands of dollars worth of time into fine tuning it. The purpose of this big deal was to generate work for ME. I am not a soup kitchen, I do not work for free!!!! She even went so far as to send me a nasty email belittling my skills and talents. THIS is exactly the type of customer I try to avoid. If they do not want to pay for the design, I am sure I would have had to sue them to get paid for the job. You can take your "C" and shove it. I work my a** off for customers and clients. After 15 years in this business I can smell this kind of customer a mile away. I informed her that if she wanted to continue with the design process she would need to pay a design deposit. THIS IS HOW I MAKE MY LIVING!!!!! The "C" grade given is wholly personal on her part. I showed up, measured the space, and gave her 8 RENDERINGS (she paid for 1). I fulfilled the terms of the big deal to the letter. She is grading me on here ability to walk on me and rip me off. When I declined to work for her for free, she gives me this review! To be honest, I KNEW she was going to do this. I will never run a $49.00 big deal again. The value of work for this client was over $1000.00! Kitchen work and "coupon" clippers don't mix. Please look further down the list and you will see "real" reviews from customers that did not try to rip me off!"
