Description of Work: Sorry, I don't have receipts. It has been several years since I had work done. Over the years he has refinished 2 antique chairs, a drop leaf table, a large oak trellis table and benches. All his work has been excellent, and I would certainly use him again. He does quality work. His costs are appropriate.

Description of Work: Can't remember the dates, but he did several jobs for me. One was an old table that had been painted that he stripped and refinished in cherry (looked like new). Repaired and glued two antique chairs. I believe the last job was a large oak kitchen table he refinished. All excellent work. The only receipt I could find was for the antique chairs, which he also restained, they were $200.00 For both in 2001.

Description of Work: I had several pieces of 'vintage' wooden furniture evaluated, some repaired and refinished. Several very old pieces were rescued from being disgarded. The pieces belonged to my late parents and grandparents. I am very grateful that I've been able to retained tangible pieces of family history. The work was well done. My pieces included dresser, nightstand and 'high boy'; china closet, server and buffet, predepression era rocking chair (reupholstered by subcontractor), desk, wash stand, tables. Woods were oak and walnut. Delaware helped me arrange out of state delivery of finished pieces. |I highly recommend this company and would gladly use it again if needed.

Description of Work: My grandfather's chair was damaged in a move and they were able to repair a split in the carved section and fix scrapes in the stain so it is no longer visible. Great work!

+ -1 moreWe were very happy with them. They had an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau. Michael Leo is the owner and he did the work. We had the kitchen redone and were not pleased with the cabinets. We were going to do the top cabinets and he said we didn't need to do that so he saved us $2,000. Within a week, he did all the lower cabinets. There were around 19 or 20 pieces to refinish. He usually does furniture refinishing but he felt sorry for us and did the work, which was very nice. He was a very pleasant guy. He made it match and it looks great. You would not have known we had a problem. The price was very fair considering the work he did. He would call and say what time he would be here and he was here at that time. He was careful not to get dirt on the carpets. He taped up plastic to protect the rest of the house, which we appreciated.
Description of Work: We used Delaware Valley Furniture Restoration to take out our kitchen cabinet doors and drawers and they worked on panels that couldn't be removed. It was 18 doors and drawers and 2 panels.

+ -1 moreMike Leo was recommended to me by another top-rated Angie's List provider, David Teter. Once I contacted Mike, I was immediately impressed with his knowledge of vintage furniture and the pitfalls one may encounter when attempting to refinish furniture with veneer (fortunately, mine was solid wood and not veneer). He has years of experience in refinishing furniture and it shows. After submitting photos of my vintage piece to Mike, he was able to give me an estimate over the phone without having to come to my house. The item was light/small enough for me to transport to Mike's workroom in my car, although for larger items he does charge a pick-up/delivery fee. The estimate was reasonable, the turn-around time amazing (2 weeks), and the finished product is absolutely beautiful! I had asked Mike to match the color of another piece of furniture in the room, and he did so quite accurately by working off of my sample piece of furniture. Since this is their first review on Angie's List, Delaware Valley Furniture Restoration is a well-kept secret no more. Mike -- hire some more people, you're going to get a lot more well-deserved business!
