"Thank you very much [Member Name Removed] !!"
"I did not do this work. This gentleman must have me confused with another company. We are from Johnstown and do not do work in Pittsburgh. I do not have kids employed. I have 2 employees ages 30 and 41. I will be making attempts to have this review pulled down or the gentleman would be kind enough to remove this himself."
"Thank you very much folks. It was a pleasure working for you guys!!!! Mike"
Cost to install Chimney Cap - $489
Cost to repair crown - $189
Cost to repair flashing - $159
Once I got the total price it was way over my budget. Even the price to just install the cap was over. I decided I would just crawl up on the roof and do the work myself.
I performed all the work myself for a total cost of $200.
Seemed like nice people but just to expensive.
Also, during this trip he looked in my chimney said it was in need of a cleaning and could cause a fire hazard. So, i told him to clean the chimney while he was there. The next day i decided to look up in the flue to see how he did. Not to my surprise...the entire area just above my fireplace box was completely caked with a tar/caked substance and inch thick. I poked it with the poker and i could scrape it of onto my head. So much for being able to safely use my fireplace. Great job. I didn't hire someone who represents themselves as a specialist in their field, just to waste my time and money to go back and fix it myself
"This gentleman had called me and explained to me that his chimney has been leaking and he has been unable to fix the problem himself. I agreed to look at the chimney and would travel the 1 hour to get there. He said he could not be there because he was going to be in a tree stand deer hunting. After arriving I found the problem immediately. It was a gaping hole in the the top of the chimney. I also inspected the fireplace flue and the oil flue for soot buildup and they both needed cleaned very bad. I was dealing with his wife at this point and was giving her a written estimate of all work to be done, to seal the chimney was 289.00 and 189.00 to clean the oil flue and 179.00 to clean the fireplace. These figures cover all work and travel time to and from his house. I presented these figures to his wife and she called her husband while he was in his tree stand. They argued for about 20 minutes over the price and she was visibly very upset with him because he was being so difficult with her. At one point she was very tired of having to deal with this by herself because he was hunting and couldn't be there himself she gave me permission to do the work and signed the contract. I was reluctant to do the work because of this but proceeded anyway.Over the next several days I got several harrasing phone calls from this man and almost called authorities because he would not let up. I traveled 1 hour to and from this mans place and spent 3 hrs working on his chimney for a total of 5 hours. He argued that I only had 2 hrs on this job and would not recognize my travel time. I agreed to return all his money for the work I performed on his chimney. All money was returned to this man without an argument. Even after I returned his money he still kept calling me with degrading remarks. I thought this would be the end of it, and now he has written this bad reveiw about my company. I have been in business for 30 years since 1982 and have over 9,500 very satisfied customers. I take alot of pride in doing good work for people. Anyone interested in our services can call our office and I would be glad to supply them with as many references as they wish. This man was a very difficult individual from the very beginning and now in hindsight I wish I would have made the decision not to do any work for this particular individual. Very sincerely Mike Robson"
