"Yes, we schedule mowing on a rotation divisible by 7 (one week) so with a weekly or bi-weekly account occasionally there are going to be 3 times per month that serviced is rendered per 30/31 day invoice period. Mowing twice a month is not an option that we can schedule -but 14days intervals is. As far as referring to Spanish speaking people, I'm confused ... our staff are all local (native) English speaking people. She promised to send 50%, even though two of three cuttings would have been 66% of the invoice. She never paid any portion of the $115 balance due. Hmmm. Is there any truth to her story.????"
"It is unfortunate that Mr. [removed member name] is upset with us. We began communicating with him in September of 2013. In November we were still trying to work with him on some design changes within the project to resolve what we believe to be water issues. We had firm concerns with water run-off and possible flooding to his basement doorway. At that time he was also still trying to negotiate a lower price. It became apparent in mid-November that we could not start the project even if we did work out the design issues due to wet weather and we did let him know that. April 2014, we received another email from Mr. [removed member name] . He suggested that if we were still interested in his project to let him know. We have great issues with the water issues and felt it best if we did not. We sincerely hope that he got good results on drainage-wall-steps project, I'm sure some of our many hours of consulting, planning and estimating was of benefit to Mr. [removed member name] . I have been in this business for over 44 years and learned to be careful when entering contracts that we believe in the integrity of the design before performing the work. We could not quite get there with Mr. [removed member name] 's project. George Milkie Owner"
"I do appreciate (Member name removed) comments. There was indeed confusion between my representative and (Member name removed) as to the scope of work he wanted to accept. His original request was for a much larger scope of work and was priced in more than 16 different catagories. The confusion came in what all he wanted to proceed with in the first phase and how much cost that represented. Their property is a maintenance nightmare without regular maintenance and it had been sometime since the beds were weeded. The returning weeds are not surpising. Once weeds and wild grass enter the crowded bedding and perennials area, you have no choice than to hand pull the weeds. With hard ground, you do your best to get the whole root but often times they break off instead. We understood that (Member name removed) was going to monitor the returning and new weed growth and treat with roundup as needed. (Member name removed) was a pleasure to work for and we would have no problem returning to do more work for them if requested. We do thank him for his patronage and hope he will be more satisfied if he chooses Milkie's the next time. George Milkie Owner, Manager"
