We had a really good experience overall with this company and they came highly recommended.  We signed our estimate back in April of 2012 and the job was done in late October.  Work schedules were a problem for us to try and be there when the job was being done so we had hoped to have it done over a week's vacation.  At the estimate, a time frame of mid-August to late-September was given for work to begin, but once that time came, communication was a little lacking in updating us, which was my only small complaint.   In fairness, our area was selected for mandatory sewage testing and upgrades for every home, so these guys were up to their noses in work, not to mention the setbacks of weather and other unforeseen snags.
We did luck out and they were able to start working the first weekday of our October vacation.  They showed up early in the morning and got right to work.  The crew of between 3 and 5 men worked very efficiently and I was amazed with how quickly progress was made.  They started with the basement floor and cut trenches for every drain, there were 5 total.  I was worried about all the dust I was told would be blowing through my house, but they used a propane wet saw to cut through the concrete and there was no dust at all.   They were respectful of my property, covering my washer and dryer and other things near where they worked.  These guys even refused to use my bathroom upstairs in favor of a port-a-potty up the street because they didn't want to track dirt.  That port-a-potty was there for municipal workers, so if it hadn't been there I don't know where they might have "gone".
I watched most of the work out of interest in construction and the guys were patient with my presence and questions.  I enjoyed watching them work.  They were careful in planning out how each pipe would be laid in the basement and then placed each piece in place like a puzzle.    While the basement was still in progress, they excavated the yard.  The trench was dug so quickly and they got right to work laying the pipe.  In their digging, they found a problem with the french drain system under our driveway and fixed that at little cost to us.  Everything they did was purposeful and careful, and we were asked for our preferences on things like the position of our drain covers.
The concrete job in the basement to fill the trenches was done in no time and was finished very well.  After the yard was finished, they carefully removed larger rocks and debris and then tamped and smoothed out the ground.  They then planted grass.  In driving around our neighborhood, we see lots of freshly finished sewage jobs where the evidence is a large rocky mound of dirt that looks like a scar in the ground.    Ours will soon look no different than it did before.  Overall we were thrilled with Eagleson Excavating and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
