The weather on that particular day was very cold. The room in which the deceased was placed was extremely breezy and uncomfortable. However, The decor was appropriate and the flowers and memoirs were displayed nicely. As the evening progressed several family members and friends commented that the staff was lurking at the door. I've been to countless viewings and funerals where the director and assistants have been available in a professional manner. In this case the staff simply stood at the entrance. The evening service was coming to a close and a woman associated with the establishment approached the family and demanded that they immediately remove their floral arrangements and photographs. She stated that there was to be an viewing there the following morning and they needed to clear the room. All the while an adjacent viewing in another room continued with dozens of guests. Certainly they had not reached closing time. When a family member tried to find the guest register and a memorial card, she found that they had been removed. We watched as the family carted their items from the room as if they had been thrown out.

The following day of the funeral, the family received no directions once again. The pallbearers were told - yeah just meet us back there.

I truly pitied this dear family. In their time of grief and need, the Frank Duca Funeral Home processed their loved one without an ounce of professionalism, decorum, or compassion.
