If zero stars was an option that is what I would select. The siding on my home was installed without starter strip and is now beginning to sag and come loose. The answer is to have it all removed and reinstalled. All because Tasz Construction skipped a very critical step to save money.

The addition was started in April 2014. The first inspection was in April for the footer and it did not pass inspection. The work continued thru the months of April, May, June and July. Instead of renting a dumpster to put in our yard they just continued to throw all the garbage from the house into our yard killing all our grass. They also threw their own personal garbage into our yard. They also were using very foul language when I had company over the one day. In august they started putting up the drywall. When we saw what a bad job they did hanging the drywall we decided to let them go. From there things only got worse.we decided to have other contractors put in a bid for putting in our kitchen. When all three came to our house all three said they wouldn't touch our kitchen. The walls were not square and the floor was sloped almost two inches. All three showed us exactly what they were talking about. Then they went outside and showed us the problems outside. This was Labor Day weekend. The following Tuesday I called our local inspector. He informed me that when he came to our house in July he had found major structural problems. He told the contractor to hire a structural engineer to figure out what could be done. Mike Tasz never did hire an engineer. He just kept right on working. The inspector came out and saw that the seal plate had never been corrected. He informed us that he thought the addition would have to be jacked up to fix the seal plate or we might have to tear the addition down and start over. He also saw how the back outside wall was angled in and did not line up with the rest of the house. Our whole addition is not square. The inspector also told us that mike had never called him to inspect the insulation. Mike just went ahead and drywalled over the insulation without having it inspected. The inspector was out again the other day to look into the crawl space. He found several problems there also. No gravel was put down, the insulation was put in backwards, gaps in seal plate where you can actually see daylight, water pipes were completely exposed which means they will freeze, water pipe had a trap which is not legal and there were no vents in the crawl space. We are going to have to hire another contractor to fix all the problems that mike Tasz left with us.
