"Thanks for your comments. We try hard to look out for our customers, as we are neighbors as well as business people."
"The customer had contracted a person to do his job on the side in attempt to save money, rather than just hiring a landscaping professional to do the job. [removed member name] was trying to be the general contractor for a rushed "on the side" job. As a material supplier, we make every attempt to help the customer get the right material for a job, but ultimately the customer has to make the final decision about what material they are purchasing. We delivered what this customer ordered. We did not do a landscaping job for them, as we are not a landscape contractor. We feel strongly that the burden for the mistakenly ordered material was his responsibility, but we still did everything we could to try to be fair. In over 10 years of business, we have never had a customer take us to small claims court. After our first delivery of material which we maintain was incorrectly ordered (and was accepted by the contractor on the site, and signed for by the owner's wife), we delivered another load of material at less than our cost, and the customer used both loads in some fashion. [removed member name] gave us wrong information about his job, saying he was only elevating the ground by 12" to fill in a depression, when in fact he was filling approximately 36 inches deep on the side of a bank for an RV parking spot, and creating a stone wall. He ordered screened fill, which we delivered. We then delivered shale at less than our cost in attempt to help the customer, which he also complained about, saying it was too large (pictures showed some pieces that were 10"-12"; but for filling 3' deep, this is NOT a problem for a seasoned contractor as shale breaks apart easily with a machine). The claimant, [removed member name], dropped his case against us, likely because he realized he was wrong. I see he and his wife now live in New Mexico and are continuing to try to be evil with us. We made every attempt to reconcile with this customer, but as you can see, they just could not be made happy. This is just a very unreasonable customer."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence. We do strive for integrity in all that we do, but being human beings we can make mistakes. We work hard to make things right when given the opportunity and we are not being taken advantage of."
