I had 4 very large (over 100' tall!) pine trees, that the builder placed waaaay to close to my home, taken down in November, 2016. One had been struck by lightening and was badly damaged, another, once cut down, showed it was in very bad shape. Chris and his crew did an amazing job removing these scary big and fragile trees from my property and the clean-up was wonderful. Now I don't look out my windows during every bad storm and pray these big trees don't fall and hit my home! :) Chris is also very kind and knew I had just lost my husband earlier in the year. Couldn't ask for a better, more professional job and I note here that this company, whom I've used again since to remove about 11 dead and dying trees on my property, is prompt, professional and takes pride in its work. The company (Chris) also did a lot of clean up of branches etc in my gardens, at no extra cost, to make the yard look much nicer! Thank you Chris and crew and also wife Rhonda who often answers the phone and is very friendly and efficient!

These guys were very professional and finished the job beyond my expectation.

The McDonoughs Tree Service crews were very careful and precise. Everything was cleaned up and the back yard looked better than when they came in. There was no room for error considering our fir tree was between our neighbors new fence and several telecom wires coming off a utility pole. The job was completed perfectly.

This job was quoted, scheduled and performed within a week.  A large crew showed up on time and finished the job in one day. I definitely recommend this company.

Chris's crew showed up on time with the equipment needed. They worked until dark then came back the first thing the next morning to finish up the grinding and clear away the ground material. We asked them to move everything to a specific place in the yard which they did. The resulting area was clear as if the stumps were never there. Chris also gave me a great price for the work. It seemed like he valued me as a returning customer and adjusted the price to reflect that. I highly recommend McDonoughs to anyone who needs tree work. I would never hire anyone else!

We were on a tight schedule and they were very responsive and got the job done in time. The proce was very reasonable compared with other estimates. They were very careful and left everything cleaned up beautifully. I would highly recommed McDonough's.

Chris's crew arrived on time with all of the needed equipment from chain saws to a cherry picker. They safely brought all the trees to the ground. They cut and cleared all of the branches, and left us the wood from the main trunks in piles exactly where they said they would. Once the cutting was complete, they raked the yard, and swept the driveway leaving things in the best shape they could be. They used a machine to drag the pieces to the piles. This machine had to be used within the yard, but it left minimal damage, just a little re-seeding with fill a few spots that need attention.
I also really liked that no pre-payment was necessary. Chris's attitude is that he will do the work for the price quoted, and payment is not required until the owner is completely happy. I found this refreshing and helped me make the decision to go with McDonough's.
I would never use any other tree service. I paid a fair price for an excellent result, and highly recommend McDonough's if you need any kind of tree service.

We called Chris McDonough's Tree Service because we knew he and his men would do an excellent job and they did. The price was right too. We had four huge old trees (two ash, a mulberry, and a honey locust) towering over our house and outbuilding. We wanted them cut down and removed along with a large brush pile we had on our property. The crew of nine men did an excellent, professional job involving dangerous work high in the trees, skilled cutting with chainsaws, accurate felling of the trees, chippping, stump grinding, cleanup, and removal of all material. The crew worked very hard in very hot weather. McDonough Tree Service has an impressive amount of equipment too.

He just does a nice job for a reasonable price.

I had used this company before several times but not for a job as big as this. I had no previous complaints and had recommended them to others. This time however was different. The crew showed up on time and completed the job on time but left my backyard in disarray
. Part of one tree that was not to be cut down was cut down which was very upsetting but not to McDonough's. Other shrubs that I had planted myself in the yard were run over by equipment and have not recovered to this day. A section of fence was knocked down and left there. I complained and Chris McDonough came out along with the crew supervisor to look over the area. He took $200 off the quote ($4000 down to $3800). He said that the tree that was accidentally removed would recover quickly (it had two trunks and one trunk was left; it looked ridiculous). He replaced the section of fence that was knocked down and said his crew would be back in the spring to pick up any debris that was left behind and hidden by the snow. When I called in the spring to have the debris removed, no one ever returned my call and the debris was never removed. I will never use this company again.

Efficient removal of tree. All tree work and price were very good but communication was not. They arrived unexpectedly and the foreman for the job was not aware of conversations we had had with the owner via phone. Owner did come and details worked out, but the miscommunication was very concerning for such a big job. Would hire them again but would be sure of exact plan and date before they arrived.

Very well. We had gotten a much higher estimate from another company, then McDonough's was doing work in our neighborhood and stopped by. Their estimate was significantly lower, so we gave them the job. They had all of the equipment needed to do this job right. Wow! It was quite an efficient, well-run operation. These trees were tall but, they had no problem handling them safely. They did leave a part of one of the three stumps they ground out, though.

Quick and clear estimate. Reasonable price. Well-equipped, large crew arrived and began work. Courteous and knowledgeable workforce. Then they apparently needed to quickly finish and leave. Adjacent trees were damaged during this hurry-up, brush was left, and ruts created on an adjoining property while maneuvering their equipment to load logs. A good job overall spoiled by last minute details late in the afternoon and my angry neighbor.
