Dec 2012
Woodworking, Siding Service + 3 more
Todd Keim took 18 months to do what could have been done in four to six. He did not finish anything. The work was substandard. Cabinets were poorly constructed, doors did not fit, plaster work on walls and ceiling was uneven and cracks appeared in corners, door casings looked like washboards.... Because of his poor planning, a water connection for the refrigerator was not moved before walls were closed, and had to be cut into the side of the desk. Worst of all, his destruction team ripped off the walls, siding and insulation, leaving spaces between the laths where he neglected to put Tyvec during winter months of 2010--a cold winter. The back door to the house was only a plastic sheet.
He sent "helpers" in to do much of the work without giving them plans or adequate instruction. He did not supervise. After he was fired twice, he asked for another chance to do the work without additional cost. Because he had disrupted the kitchen for more than nine months already, done poor quality work while being paid, what could one expect if he was not being paid? The new contractor had to undo and redo much of the work inside and outside at the homeowner's expense.
Todd Keim signed three contracts, the original and two supplementary contracts prepared by the homeowner. Keim honored none of them.
