He ended up installing the post. It is almost a year later and the post cap is popping off and nails are sticking out from it. The self locking gate is now still not locking, he did not even get this fixed. He tried to blame the reasoning on the other company and would not take responsibility for helping with this. The capping around the garage had hammer dents in it and was installed horribly. He was only supposed to be a 6 hour job for these chores, he ended up coming back and forth for about month. Every little chore seemed to incur an additional fee. It was awful and a nightmare!

He removed the ceiling tiles and checked the plumbing. Could not find any leaks even though there appeared to be water coming from a pipe. He said that he didn't think these pipes were the source of the problem, a solid pipe rarely leaks. So we went into the bathroom and started checking. no leaks after he turned the water back on. Back to the kitchen. While I used the toilet. When I flushed the toilet the on/off knob sprouted water. I yelled and he said came upstairs and fixed the leak. He then checked out the other water connections for leakage. All was ok.

We were less than satisfied. They showed up late once and another time they didn't show up at all. And then what they did do wasn't what we wanted so we had to hire someone else to complete the work.

I had a handyman that in retrospect I found he was the worst of the lot. He had a small ad in the back of the publication.
I called him and sent him a list of the jobs that I wanted him to do and when he got here he didn?t have the list. He didn?t know what I was talking about. Basically he just ad libbed through the 2 days he was here. The jobs he did were okay but he basically wasted time.
He was late. He didn?t call. His helper was the one who did the work. He did fine, but Jim didn?t. It seemed like Jim was inventing more work.

I gave him a letter with an extension to pay me the money back but he told me the money was already gone. He has not started on any of the work at all.

It was alright. I hired him again to do another work but he had never done that. I would not recommend him.

I did not like there service at all. I had to buy a new water so it was an additional $300. They did not finish the water heater job and I paid for them to do it. They left the old water heater and I had to drain it myself and it leaked all over the basement and they never came back to pick it up. I would not use them again.

"I did go back and fulfill the coupon and then some by rebuilding her toilet and installed a new fill line.(with travel time and a trip to the Home Depot over 4 hrs.) I had a discussion with my man about the tidiness while keeping in mind he buired his father earlier that week,"

Jim inspected the roof first and then told me what he was going to use to coat the roof. He went to great detail to explain what was previously done and how he would do things differently

A good job overall. I should have checked the manufacturers specs for condensate drains in thicker than normal walls.

When we first spoke on the phone, Jim asked me to email him a list of the jobs I wanted done and to attach pictures of the areas in question to the email, which I did. Soon after that he came to the house and did an estimate for the work described above. We also discussed the installation of a temporary fence, but he evaluated the situation and explained why there was no good way to design a fence that would do what I wanted it to do, which I appreciated. I was satisfied with his price and general demeanor, and didn't get other estimates.
We made an appointment for a day that was a little sooner than I would have liked; but Jim knew this and called back to say he didn't want to push me, someone else had approached him about a job for that date, and if I preferred we could reschedule for a later date, which is what we did. However when he called the morning of the rescheduled date, I had a family emergency situation and asked, with apologies, if we could change the date again. He was very sympathetic and immediately agreed, which I appreciated very much, especially since I had been able to give him no advance notice at all.
We fixed another date and the work was finally done that day. He and his assistant were quiet, efficient, and knew exactly how to go about these jobs. The results work and look great. They cleaned up well when finished. The old gutter was left at the curb for pickup, but Jim said that if municipal trash collection wouldn't take it, to let him know and he would come back and get it, which I'm sure he would do.
I'm entirely satisfied with the results and would definitely hire them again. Equally important, I appreciated Jim's willingness to be flexible and his understanding of the emergency situation.

When they replaced the shelf my washer ended up not working after they left. The appliance repair man said that something that was moved had broken the washer. I also had to call Angie's List to get the appointment scheduled. When he came out everything broke back in the laudry room. I had the materials for the replacement of the flooring. He was going to charge me over $800.00.

"This is a strange report. Waiting 6 months to write this is odd,There is nothing I could have done to make her washer not work, I told her I would pay for the service call she said no but asked us to come back and we replaced a moldy back wall and painted it I think it was $1200. She aked for an estimate for a floor replacement I quoted 800 she said great and scheduled for the next monday. I received a call that moring cancelling due to an emergency with her rescued dog. She spent thousands for care for the pet and didnt want to do the floor."

The work they did was good. I was not too happy with the two guys who came out though. I felt like I had to stay on them to do the job the entire day. I felt like I was the foreman. He kind of worked over three hours and didn't really bring it to my attention until that point. I thought that was kind of shady. However, I did get a lot of work done. I had to pay him $250.00 extra to finish the rest of the job which took three more hours. Half of the time he was on the phone. It just seemed like he didn't really have any regard for my time. I probably wouldn't work with him again.
