Economy Roofing

I inherited Economy Roofing when I moved into my house in 1988.  The prior owner had him put on a new roof. Bill has been nothing but good to me. Being new to homeownership, I didn?t know that I was required to coat the roof (old style). Bill kept good on the warranty even though I called him well past the period to get it coated. In 2002 I had him install a new rubber porch roof. The roof has been maintenance free. At one point, I had a problem with a squirrel that got into my porch ceiling, when I called Economy, Bill was unable to come out but he recommended someone who could. Now I am getting another main roof. As luck would have it, Economy had room on the schedule to take care of it almost immediately. They came on time. When I came home from work, there was no trace that they had been there except when I went up to my roof and saw a new white rubber roof covering my house and a new vent in my attic.

Did a very good job. Was right on time.

Did not show up for their appt

I liked them; they were honest and showed me pictures; for me, that was important. There was no pressure, either and they were professional; they knew what they were doing. When they came out they just told me they would come sometime that day, but not specifically when.

Economy Roofing also installed on my house a strip about 10" wide and about 36" long of the rustic redwood shingles that is a different color from the shingles that they installed on my house that I did not choose. That strip of the rustic redwood shingles is the only rustic redwood shingles Economy Roofing installed on my house. On August 21, 2012, about 12:30 pm, I called Economy Roofing and told the lady I spoke with, whose name I did not get, that I picked rustic redwood shingles for my house and that the shingles installed on my house that day are not rustic redwood. She said she would have someone call me back. Mr. Bill Donnelly called me at 12:33 pm and told me that the shingles used were rustic redwood and that he would bring me a sample. I told him that the rustic redwood on the board of shingle samples he gave to me is black with red specks, and the shingles installed on my house are not black. Mr. Donnelly again told me that he would bring me a sample. The sample left on my back step was not rustic redwood. About 2:38 pm, I called Economy Roofing again and told a lady named Robin that the sample dropped off was not rustic redwood and that I chose the rustic redwood to match the red bricks outside and that there was no red on that sample. She said she would have Mr. Donnelly call me. On August 23, 2012, Mr. Donnelly called me at 1:28 pm and told me that he has a master chart showing that the shingles installed on my house are rustic redwood.

This company came (3) times. I advised them to call before arrival and they would just came in unannounced, which is a problem because I have pitbulls. The roofer could not get on the roof even though I attempted to tell him how to get up there. He became frustrated and cursed because of this.

I would not listen because I am a woman.

It was a professional job. They showed upon time, finishedquickly and were very neat and polite. Cleaned up completely after themselves.

The leak stopped. I went up there and compared the section with similar work done on the next unit over (it's a twin home) and in comparison my job looks pretty sloppy. Still, they responded very quickly and the leak stopped.

I think they are very good and did a good job, I haven't had any problems yet. I saw them on Angie's List and said they must be pretty good. So far I'm very pleased.

They were wonderful and their prices were great. They were very personable, everyone was very friendly. It is a family run business. They were very neat and clean.
