A-1 PLASTERING

Don and his partner came on time and began the work. Don had his associate do the plastering while he talked to me or was on the phone.
When the job was completed, it looked entirely different than the job Don had done for me on my other bathroom. The other bathroom was lightly swirled and without lumps in the plaster, and each swirl was pretty much like the other. Very symmetrical and neat. I wanted this job to be just like that one, but it turned out to be more like a stucco job. Heavy swirls and lumps. It looked like a job done quickly for a rental unit. Completely unlike the first job Don had done himself.
When I called Don a week or so later, he did volunteer to come over and make the job right. However, since I was under some other time restraints, I had already put a primer coat on the plaster and had to finish painting before some other work was scheduled to begin.
My suggestion to anyone considering hiring A-1 Plastering is to ensure that Don do the job himself......otherwise, you'll not be sure what you're getting.

Don, the owner of A-1 Plastering, and his helper Ken were both very professional and polite. When you have Don over for a bid, it can be a bit confusing because he is constantly thinking of his approach to the job and will forget that you don't always know what he's talking about. It's really funny. He'll say something about having to scab that wall for extra support, etc., then when he realilzes that you look confused, he explains it in layman's terms. You can tell he's been in the business for many years. He leaves you with a good feeling that he knows what he's doing.........and judging by the results of his work, he does.
I will be hiring this company for more work in the near future.

Over all the stucco and plaster look great. The plaster and stucco are so beautiful I've had the painting contractors that bid on painting the new plaster and the exterior of the house comment on it. The price was not the lowest, but it wasn't the highest either.
