It went quite well, considering the weather. The owner and his help had to work through rain, snow and especially mud. But they worked on and the end result was quite amazing. First, I couldn't believe how well built the deck was. I think it could withstand an earthquake. The steps and a landing are of the same high-quality workmanship. I am very pleased with the whole project and would not hesitate to use them again.

We used The Construction Company to renovate the main living space in our home. They removed a load-bearing wall between our office and family room, replaced the flooring, added a new window and constructed built-in storage tailored to the space. They did all of the painting, trim and electrical work (adding recessed lighting and even mounting our TV/components). John was able to provide suggestions we hadn't thought of to use the space more efficiently, such as reducing an opening to the room, adding a barn door that would maximize the available space for furniture, and constructing a built-in desk area in an otherwise awkward space that was created by our powder room. We couldn't be happier with the result! Not only did the end product exceed our expectations, but John was extremely professional. Our initial estimate was submitted quickly, the contract was detailed, and they began work on our project in a timely manner. Once work commenced, there were no breaks in the project until it was complete. The only time the cost exceeded the estimate was when we wanted to add to the scope. They were reliable and respectful of our house, taking steps to contain the mess to the extent possible. John always remained flexible and collaborative as the project progressed. Beyond being multi-talented, they were just good, pleasant, trustworthy people, which is important when you're embarking on a project that will take some time to complete. We will absolutely use The Construction Company again, and would recommend them to anyone!

John and his crew are by far the most professional competent crew we have ever worked with. It felt nice that we were working with a legitimate business and not the nightmare companies that are extremely common these days. It was such a relief having them in our home because they made my family and I feel comfortable and we were also in great hands. The craftsmanship was top notch and their business model was incredible. The project was smooth as can be and was done efficiently. They belong on HGTV.

In summer 2014 I interviewed three different contractors to replace my back porch, which had some structural problems and was in need of replacing. I decided to hire the Construction Factory because John, the owner, listened carefully, seemed to understand what I wanted, and provided an estimate that I could afford. He and his crew started work in the winter and completed the job in February of 2015. Soon after completion, it became clear there was a problem with the lattice on the porch. The rest of the porch looked great and the work they did to upgrade my front porch greatly improved the curb appeal of my house. John and I had many conversations about how to fix the problem with the lattice and John tried several things to try and make it work. We even talked about taking a different design approach. It all ended recently when we finally agreed that the root of the problem were the vinyl lattice panels themselves. We joined forces and wrote to the manufacturer. We succeeded in getting a full refund of the purchase price for the materials, getting the promise of a full refund within a couple of hours! John and I agreed that if I paid for the materials, he would install new lattice with framing. At the cost of treated wood lattice, paint, and vinyl trim (under $1000), John and his crew removed the old, flimsy vinyl lattice and replaced it with ¾” treated lattice that my neighbor and I primed and painted. John’s crew was able to complete the replacement in one day (except for some final trim at the top of the skirt, which John himself promised to return and install in the next couple of weeks). My experience with this company started out great. Although we had some problems along the way, John always stuck with it and wanted to make it right and get me what I originally wanted. The porch is already getting accolades from my neighbors. John really turned things around by being persistent, talking things through with me, and following through on what he promised. If it wasn’t for this poor material, I’m sure the job would have been completed without a hitch.

The entire process went smoothly. John was very professional during the quotation process. I was unsure of exactly what I wanted and John guided me through the process. I did end up using the Trex Transcend Tropical Spiced Rum deck which is the top of the line of Trex material. I went with the all black Trabscend railing system. My deck is quite large and includes an octagonal eating area, a walkway and a large rectangular deck. I copied my old deck footprint which we love. I also added a full Trex skirting to the deck as well. Bottom line, it's a big deck! Demolishing the old deck went well. They worked almost a week in building the footings and substructure of the deck. It is twice as large as our old deck. Memorial Day weekend came and went and they finished the deck and railing. They cleaned up every day and left nothing for us to pickup. Nothing. There was no smokers and not one butt was to be found. As we near retirement, I wanted a maintenance free deck that looks good. We are greatly pleased with the Trex product and John and his crew craftmanship. I am very pleased with The Construction Factory's craftmanship, work effort and courteous professionalism. Based on my experience I highly recommend them

The owner is not just a contractor, but a carpenter. He is really friendly and works with your budget. They had two employees come out. They would've completed the work in a week if it wasn't for the weather. His communication with us was perfect.

John returned my call the day I called his company. He came out gave me a price an d was very profectional. I am very happy with the job they did . My decks are the best I've seen. John and his company do exceptional work and are really concerned with detail. He wants the job to be done right and takes any extra time it takes to insure you get a top notch job. Thank you John for a great experience.

Everything went well.  They are very friendly and they listen to what the customer wants.  I don't know the price in comparison, but it was fine.

Very professional crew and transaction.  Not the lowest price but most professional of all the companies that I met with.  Roof was a challenge due to existing windows on house, needed to get enough roof pitch but also wanted certain look.  Construction Factory was able to achieve this for me.  Look of the project from structural perspective is great.  Only flaw is the finish metal work is not top notch.  Everything else on the project was great.  I would use them again if I had another similar project.

John helped with the creation and design of the deck. Was onsite when material was delivered, was on time and finished the job in a very quick manner. True professional.

Project was well done, but was to be completed in 4 days. Project took 2 weeks. In all fairness the weather played a part, but should have been considered in the determination of the time to build

My husband and I were very happy with the workmanship and work ethic of this company.  There was some disappointment with the original selection of the railing system no longer being available for the estimated cost, but this was out of the control of the construction team.  I was given a comparable substitute which I feel was a better solution in the end.  I am looking forward to many years of maintanance free enjoyment of our new deck which adds the feel of a whole new room off our home.  Should have done it long ago!  I am an avid bird feeder/watcher and was troubled about the demolition of our old deck leaving our bird families without their feeding station.  I expressed this concern and immediately John had my feeder erected in my yard in a place away from the work site and where I could still enjoy watching the birds continue to eat.  I think they even enjoyed the new location better!  John takes immense pride in his work and even though his estimate came in a bit higher I knew it would be worth it.  It was.  John will stand by his work and has told me to let him know if there should be any problem during the years ahead and he will take care of it for us.  I have every confidence he will be there if that happens.  I wish John had built my house!  Come see my beautiful deck!

Can't say enough about them!!!  I had been dealing for months with a
number of other companies trying to resolve a water problem in my garage
and no one else could come up with a good solution.  They listened and
came up with the perfect solution for my particular circumstances. 
Great to deal with!!  Will definitely use them in the future.

I found this company on Angies list. We already had a good idea about what we wanted and had done drawings with dimensions and site plans so John knew exactly what was needed. There were a few hiccups along the way, a scheduling issue when the customer ahead of me decided to increase the scope at the last minute. Once the crew got started they worked great. The neighbors commented that they weren't even aware there was work going on (but I assure you the backyard was transforming every day!) They took care not make more of a mess than was necessary and within a week our deck was ready. When they were done the only evidence of them was a solidly built deck exactly how we wanted. We had our sons graduation party a few weekends later and everyone raved about  the deck.

Our next two projects are a new roof and a 30'x40' addition. These guys are my first call!
