Very good not many people like to do repairs. He was enjoyable to talk to to.

Jim was extremely helpful in this process. I was specific on having an aluminum fence made in the USA. I did my research and chose Ultra Fencing. Jim had no problem with us ordering the fence ourselves. He surveyed the area and told us exactly what pieces were needed and the amount. Once the fence was in we were able to begin promptly. The quality of work was A+++ we could not have asked for better. All 400 ft. of fence was installed within 10 days. Everything is straight and level. Pricing was more than fair. Professional & a pleasure to work with. Recommend highly.

Jim was very prompt in responding to my inquiry. He came out and gave me an estimate, and within a week I had a new section to my fence. I replaced the existing wire with a chain link section. It looks very nice. Very pleased with his work.

Jim listened to what I wanted, worked within city limitation codes, and made suggestions as needed. He was punctual and efficient. He did a wonderful job. Beautiful quality fence.  He even gave me an extra 6 foot section of fence to solve a particular problem with the property at no extra cost to me.

  I am currently going through the *wringer* of being a single woman getting estimates for construction of a fence.

I felt I should take the time to post about this because, well, his approach is completely different than everyone else.

James is a normal regular person. He is not pushy, not trying to hard sell you or come at you with an angle or a sob story.

 He is someone you could have to a Sunday dinner with your family.

This was very refreshing, because a few of the estimates I got , (not angies list), I felt like I was at a used car dealership & lemons were on the menu.

James did not try to talk me into something I did not want, nor did he try to sway me from what I did want.

 He paid attention to what I asked for.

 On the phone, pre-estimate, James actually listened to what I said, & asked me to bring pictures of my ideas when we met up for the estimate.

When we met up for the estimate he was professional, arrived on time.

 My request is completely out of the norm from what most people are getting today:

I wanted something different from the usual chain link or vinyl fence, my house is sort of rural.

 I wanted different spaced posts & larger sizes-I already researched what I wanted.

It's more akin to country type 4 board post & board fence, but 5' high, with 6' posts & a wire liner fence, & a little bit over built because I have a 100+ lb dog.

Anyway, I didn't get a run around, or an excuse for why that was not what I wanted, or all of the other mumbo-jumbo things I got from others who kept trying to push chain link or vinyl privacy fence on me. Others made me feel as if maybe they only knew how to do chain link or vinyl, or that was all they had access to.

James just went about measuring & answering my questions.

He told me he would get back to me with the price the next day, as he had to price materials.

I received a call today with the amount.

Now it's a matter of fine tuning what I want, I still have questions & need to make calls & figure it all out before I choose.

James Schmitt is not the lowest estimate I received, he is however the only one who listened to what I wanted & didn't try to sell me something else.  Paying attention goes a long way :)

 This gives me the feeling that he has enough experience & is confident enough in his ability, even if you ask him for something a little outside of the box.

I had a huge shed in the corner of my yard and wanted to take it down. Then I found out that there wasn't a fence behind it. Jim came out and gave me an estimate. We set up a time for him to come out. He said it would take 2 visits. One day for setting the post and the other day to finish. I had to call and cancel the appointment because it took a lot longer to take that shed down then we expected. Jim was very nice about it and told me to call when we were ready. I called and he came out and finished it in 1 day. My dog was happy to be off the leash. They cleaned up afterwards and were very nice and professional.

From the first phone call until completion, Jim kept me informed on progress of job. He gave us our estimate the same day that we phoned him concerning our project. Our fence had fallen down in several areas due to high winds. Jim is a fence guy and only works on fences. He has tons of experience and knows exactly what to do and how to do it!!



We have five new sections of wood fence installed plus six new posts. Jim also repaired existing fence in a few areas and cemented in some loose posts.



His price was over two thousand dollars less that my first estimate given by a contractor.



I would recommend Jim and will use him again for any fence issues.

He came out gave me an estimate and repaired my fence. He used all new material and fixed both the back and the side of the fence. He is reasonably priced and very easy to work with. He removed the old fence. He went above and beyond and he gave my neighbor some extra material to repair his fence free of charge.

He fixed the 63 foot portion of my chain link fence and added 25 feet. He also installed a bigger gate for me.
