Description of Work: Fantastic Floors installed a Nature Stone surface to my front porch in June of 2012. I contacted them about a warranty issue in March. They promptly came out to assess the problem but took several months to repair it. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the office staff and technicians which in part, caused the delay. (Poor weather was also part of the issue.) However, once they came to address the problems, the service was done well, efficiently, and all of the issues were taken care of. | | |

The initial installation was not done correctly. The floor remained sticky for days even though we were told 24 hours. The owner of the business (Mr. Pat Macioce), Ownerinsisted it was due to weather and humidity and told us to run fans. When that did not resolve the stickiness, he sent a crew out to wipe down the surface with a solvent. That helped somewhat but did not resolve the issue. The floor technicians who arrived to wipe down the floor advised me that the mixture should cure due to a chemical reaction, not to air flow. The owner of the business never attempted to come to our property to see the floor nor did he initiate any follow up calls to us. He would call us back if we called him but not in a timely many, IMO. After not hearing from him for several days and still having the problem, I contacted the HQ of Nature Stone to complain. This prompted the owner to call me at 7 AM and verbally chastise me and threaten me that he was not going to fix the problem until I apologized to him and retracted my complaint to Nature Stone. He finally agreed to send out another crew to apply another coat and told me he never wanted my business again or that of my friends/neighbors. When the crew arrived, they were extremely apologetic and very professional in helping us. The owner never once followed up with us or resolved the remaining issue which was a significant part of the floor was dirty due to the sticky problem. I filed a complaint with the BBB in June of 2013. Mr. Pat Macioce, Owner did not respond to that complaint until March of 2014. At that time, he continued to assert that there was nothing wrong with how they applied the flooring product when in fact his own team of technicians told me it was mixed incorrectly. He has finally offered a $500 refund to us but as of this writing, we have not seen any such credit. I would not recommend this business based on the customer service I received. I would have been more than happy to work out the issues of an improperly mixed batch of aggregate. Mr. Pat Macioce, did apologize to me via a phone message about calling and yelling at me but he has never once apologized for the job that was performed and to date, he has never been to my property to assess the problem.
