D Saunders Contracting LLC

Started off well but once the project was a few weeks in things started to go downhill. A project that was estimated at 8 weeks (including a two week delay for unforeseen issues) took almost 4 months. There were often miscommunications or complete failures to communicate between Dave and his workers which were admitted by his workers. We were often the go between for the two and informing his workers of status and things that needed to be done. Towards the end they went silent and we never knew if they were going to be coming to work on the kitchen or not. We would go days without any communication from Dave. At the end when we wanted to discuss the final payment with Dave due to the significant delay (mostly things that we within their control - mismeasurement of tile, incorrect order for a couple cabinets) he refused to discuss and then accused us of failure to pay and breach of contract. If you have a reasonable deadline we would not recommend them.

I renovated my kitchen and used D Saunders Contracting, LLC to assemble custom kitchen cabinets from SemiHandmade. Dave cut the custom pieces wrong, promised to pay for the replacement, but didn't. In addition, he charged me for the final payment before the project was completed without my authorization after a final walkthrough, violating our signed contract. I don't like writing negative reviews, especially for a local businesses but I don't want this to happen to anybody else.
